It always makes me laugh when people who haven't been to a particular city tends to argue with those that have. I guess it is a conspiracy since many guys are saying the same thing about Miami.

If I go to Miami I'm going to seek out the attractive women whom I have a better shot with.

More than likely I will be seeking out the locals and natives. I'm pretty sure there are attractive locals and natives, no ?
not every hot looking girl has to be a professional model, athlete, entertainer, drug dealer etc.

I won't be putting any effort into models, celebrities or famous folk because the odds are probably stacked against me that someone famous would care who I was. Plus I don't run in those social circles. If I happen to bang a tourist or someone from a higher economic / status scale I'll consider it a lucky bonus.

p.s. you were right about one thing. 100k and higher IS a lot of money to me. I guess you must be one of the millionaires that lives in another country and bangs famous models and entertainers.

Quote:Quote:

if you wanna fuck avg chicks no problem but if thats the case you can stay where you at correct?
Banging hot women would not be my SOLE purpose for visiting / living in Miami

The athletes, entertainers drug dealers, wealthy people from other states/countries I was talking about are the MEN!!! not the women.

Those are the 5-10% down there who's income doesnt show up in city data avg income wages that you are basing your "superior" income on, those are also the 5% that the most of the local chicks want, they not looking for an avg joe making $100k as an accountant unless they want a beta provider dude but majority of chicks on SOBE are about money and status.

Like I said yeah you may come across a few that aren't but how many months are you willing to wait, even MIXX who LIVES IN SOBE said if you holding out to bang dimes it could be months or longer.

And if you not going to miami for the women, wtf else for let me guess the culture lol. There are much nicer places for living, cost of living and nice weather you could go for much less.

The OP has another post about 13 pages long about his journey moving to miami and see how his view about mia changes, but I know you your gonna be different since you make over a $100k a year.

$100k gross (pre-tax) aint shit in 2012, and yes I do live in another country.hit me up when you become an accredited investor.

This is a waste breath, I doubt you'll even move there.

carry on...

Txbum, you sound bitter and/or angry for some reason. I'm moving out there and trying to get a positive attitude. The fact is you do need some money to get by OK in South Beach as it is, like securing a decent place and getting by with food etc. I don't care about impressing some whores. The times I was in Miami and had hot girls approaching me, they must have assumed I'm a millionaire obviously, I mean why else would they bother?

I'll listen to El Mechanico who says money ain't a thang, and many others on the board who agree it is much better than DC.

Imagine this...Remember Mixx? Now think that there's 50,000 of him wandering around that place trying to get laid daily. I said to do some searching before you commit. You may like it better on the other side of the Intracoastal who knows. Miami beach is small so you will get sick of it and it limits your female options if you don't have a car. Also everyone who comes here from all over the world wants to stay or live there/be seen. That means heavy posing/attention whoring/competition. My choice would be to hunt on the mainland.

Bitter/angry, hardly. You got ya txbeachbums mixed up.

Attitude is internal not external and damn sure not dependent on where you live,if you a lame ass dude in DC, you will be a lame in another city.

My reply was to address you and/or the other guy talking like $100k a year was gonna have you living like a king up there, one of his or your post he ask about buying "luxury cars" & "luxury condos", expensive drinks and my point was you need more than $100k to run that "impress women" game.

great thread !

Can you guys explain or describe how having money makes hooking up easier in Miami. For those of us who make 100k and above, how do we use that to our advantage ??Do you just dress the part and buy expensive drinks at an upscale club/bar/lounge? Invite girls over to your luxury condo ? Be seen in an expensive car ?

Is Miami better than DC no question, will you live like a king on $100k a year in SOBE no way.

I would say for dating/bars/rides and food about $500 a week for pocket change will do. You can also ride around on a beach cruiser dressed like Jimmy Buffet with enough for a 12 pack of Busch light. Any smart player will figure the angles out.

This is probably pretty close to what I spend in DC anyway. I may also be co-owner of a boat courtesy my friend.

And to Txbum, I didn't mean to give the impression that 100K+ a year was a lot. I just have read posts before from people saying they simply couldn't live there on a basic salary (think 40k-60k), and *getting by* with 120K isn't going to be a problem. I'm not going to be that guy going to clubs getting bottle-service every weekend. As people have said before, those dudes are usually just wasting their money anyway, as the chicks slurp it up and peace out. In fact, the last time I was in a Miami club, a Bachelorette party was offer us up drinks!

Miami wasn't that hard for me. Get those facial aesthetics (put time in at the gym), acquire GQ style, learn a bit of Spanish, and you are good to go.

Los Angeles and NYC were nearly impossible for me.

A little insight to Sodom and Gomorragh [Image: smile.gif]

Apart from a few plush areas this Doc confirms most of Miami as a few plush areas surrounded by swathes of Ghetto mired in poverty and crime!

As much as I hate to admit it...looks like other people are echoing the mindset of life in Miami.

I didn't think this thread would attract this much attention. I haven't had time to come on since I posted this. I'm about to pass out, but I'm gonna try and elaborate on this in the morning.

Alright, just read through the thread. Some things I want to touch base on...

Yeah, I don't have a car out here, and it makes it hard for me to get off the beach and game. I have rides into Miami often, but it's usually to a spot the crew I'm rolling with wants to go. I can't really explore. I'm pretty sick of the beach though. I've even been busing it places on my days off to try and find some good spots to day game. My style is on point and my bank roll isn't huge, it's under 100K but over 50. Lately I've been having a bit more luck. Like many are stating though, the competition is fierce. I'll meet a girl right when she gets into town. She'll want to hang out, but 4 hours later she has been hit on by 10 other dudes, and maybe 2 or 3 looked better than I did and 2 made a lot of money. Maybe my game was better and she went with me, or maybe she chose the looks over me. The flake rate on the tourist girls I meet is pretty damn high.

Reguarding hipster spots. I can let you guys in on some hipster places.... Like someone stated above, Vegabond and The Electric Pickle, which the Pickle is supposed to be a real good spot if you are into electro/ house, which I'm really not. A couple good hipster spots on the beach are The Room, Tree House, Kill Your Idol/ Lost Weekend, and maybe Purdy lounge, though not as much so as the others. On the other side, you have places like The Corner, Tabacco Rd. at times, The Stage, Memushka, Blackbird (Formally Transit Lounge), Art Walk is big on the hipster scene, which is in Wynwood every second Saturday of the month. To be honest, Art Walk has the most tallent I've ever seen in MIA, and the girls don't seem to be too stuck up. I see hipsters all the time in MIA.

Thing is, I almost never meet cool authentic latina girls. Living on the beach, it's mostly girls who grew up in the US (Who may or may not be latina, but definitely don't act like the Colombian or Brazilian latinas that you'll meet in Brazil, many times not even the tourist Brazilian or Colombian women are friendly). I've had a very hard time finding middle class latina girls who grew up in places like Colombia or Brazil that have only lived in the states a year or two. I really think the beach just isn't the spot. I think that I would probably enjoy miami much more if I lived in a different area or had a car.

Mechanico, you're in Tampa right? I've been talking to a Brazilian girls who's living up there right now for the last year and a half. She's cool as hell and hasn't turned into a cunt since she's lived in the states. I met her about 6 months after she moved to the states, and we've been talking ever since, for a year and a half now. She just went back to Brazil to get her visa renewed and will be coming to see me soon. I'd like to check out that area. I hear good things and it doesn't seem like the competition would be so brutal.

InternationalPlayboy you definitely need a car in Miami. You have over 50k, you should get a used cheap car for like 5k right?

When people first come to Miami, they assume everyone is wealthy. That is not the case. Yes, there are some very wealthy foreigners who use Miami as a base of operations. However, in my opinion, the majority of the wealth is just front, or in my words, "All flash, no cash." I could easily drive a Porsche in Miami, if I took out an insanely unwise 10-year loan. However, I was raised in a place where it didn't matter what type of car you drove. The richest family in my hometown drove a new Suburban. Your social status didn't revolve around the car you drove. Here, it's different. People would rather have a car they can't afford, but appear to be wealthy, than drive a car they can afford and make the monthly payments. As my friends and I joke, we've always wanted to yell at some of the douschier guys in Miami, "Hey, why don't you sell your BMW and use the money to move out of your mom's basement."
