developing a system

I'm going to roll this thread in with an analogy.

After New Years, my goal was to get in shape. I have met and exceeded my commitment and I chalk my success so far to going to the gym on the regular. But there were days when I was not up to going to the gym at all. On these days, I had a system developed that I could conceivably do in a few minutes.

Quote:Quote:

The Bare Minimum Routine
1. 10 pushups
2. 20 bodyweight squats
3. 15 leg raises
4. 10 bridges
5. 1 duration handstand

The question I asked (and answered) when I wrote this was "What little can I do today, as in right now, so I can be better in the future?"
I keep the list in a notecard in my wallet and adhere to it religiously.

Now suppose the question I asked was something like "What can I do today, as in right now, to ensure getting laid in the future?"

What I have so far is --

Quote:Quote:

Minimum Routine
1. Read ~15 pages of Bang on the regular
2. Approach one or two girls every day (day game of course)

I dunno, is this a workable system? Does anyone else have a system?

Yeah, systems like that work great.

However, I hope you've progressed by now from doing 10 pushups & 20 bodyweight squats per day to moving some real weight!

I like it. I think most of us need a system. It helps to organize our efforts and focus. Not only with picking up girls but with almost everything. I have a system for food, money, exercise, etc.

My system for girls:

1) Put myself in target rich environments.
2) Identify girls I wanna bang.
3) Talk to as many of them as possible.
4) Ignore the ones who don't like me.
5) Build as much comfort and attraction as possible with the ones that do like me.
6) Push for insta-date.
7) If I get insta-date, continue escalating. If I don't, get phone #.
8) Call/text in 48-72 hours.
9) Meet her for coffee, lunch, drinks, etc.
10) Get her to my house.
11) Go for bang.

I like the concept. A quick 12-step scientific method of sorts. Giovanny I'm pretty much 100% on board with your model

"...so I gave her an STD, and she STILL wanted to bang me."

Good points both, but Hades and Giovonny are talking about two different things. Giovonny is talking about a system for getting women, which is good--it's good to have a plan, something like this or Tuthmosis' recipe. But Hades is talking about something subtly different--a system for getting better at getting women.

Obviously they'll overlap. But it's as if Giovonny was describing a sporting event he was competing in and Hades was describing how he was going to prepare for competition; Giovonny's was a plan to execute, and Hades' was a plan to prepare.

And that's interesting. Deliberate practice is important for developing any skill; ideally you should be practicing at a level right at the edge of your ability, but while it's easy to do that with measurable stuff (weightlifting, say) it's hard to gauge that for something as fuzzy as this.

Hades, I like your basic idea (prepare by reading, go do practice approaches). It may be a good idea to throw in a "reflection" or "lessons learned" step where you do a quick writeup for yourself on what seemed to work better/worse, what might be attributable to luck, etc (compare this to Roosh's long-term study on whether "hi" or "hey" will get better results, finding that "hey" was much better).

Mostly I just wanted to point out that a "plan to improve" is different from a "plan to do", and both are pretty important.
