Anyone know the amount of caffeine in green tea? How often do you cycle on/off? Obviously you build up a tolerance to the caffeine
Health: Green Tea
For an 8 oz cup of green tea you'll have 35 mg of caffeine. The same 8 oz of drip coffee has 100 mg.*
I think coffees that you purchase and coffees that come from the Senseo pod-style coffee makers have more caffeine.

I drink a cup of coffee in the morning and green tea throughout the day. I've been on this caffeine schedule for years and love it.

Yeah I take two globs of the semi hard coconut oil and drop them in my green tea which is scorching hot. I go out for a smoke and when I cone back in the oil is melted and floating on top. Mak[/align]es my throat feel good and it moistureizes my lips.

What types of green tea do you drink?
Good question.
I like all, but I recently had this, and liked it: Guayaki Yerba Mate Greener Green Tea
I want to start getting into "loose teas".
That is my next move, but I have a lot of plates spinning right now (so to speak).
Cool, here is the loose I've been drinking this year: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00117O2E6/ Most of the time I get stuck with bags or Starbucks, which just isn't the same.

I love Yerba Mate too, you can leave the bag in the mug and the tea won't get bitter. I also like that it keeps me alert without being jumpy or shaky.
The Guayaki brand you can find at your grocery that sells organic/natural products (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joes, etc.)
If you want the loose tea version, you go online, to a loose tea store, or visit your local latin market if they have some available
So apple cider vinegar in the morning.
Has anyone tried the coconut oil and green tea mixture besides kickboxer? How many cups of green tea do y'all recommend daily?

As much as you can handle.
Or want.
There is really no downside to this stuff.
This is almost like asking, "How many dollars do you recommend making daily?"

Hahahaha. Truth.
As for Green Tea: I've been drinking 2 - 3 cups daily for the last couple years. My favorite is Ito En unsweetened green tea.
https://www.itoen.com/ito-en-shot/sencha-shot-150.html These are really good and come in 3 different flavors (yerba matte, oolong and green tea).
Oh, and stay away from Arizona green tea. The stuff is loaded with sugar and really unhealthy. Make your own cup of hot, unsweetened green tea or buy it from a brand that makes unsweetened bottled tea (like eto en).

Its straight up green tea leaves, so whatever is naturally occurring.
My dad has made many trips to China and always comes back with high quality stuff. The flavor is completely different than the clippings in the bags. Apparently some is collectible like wine, and comes in bricks that are valued up to $50k.
Samovar's Ryokucha blend is good.
Definitely try getting a mug/cup where you can drop the leaves in, better than tea bagging.

Yeah, loose tea is always way better.
Also, props on the mention of Samovar. I used to go there pretty frequently when I was living in San Fran. Their green tea selection is insane.
This is a good place to get authentic, high quality Japanese green tea. They are based in Kyoto but ship overseas. http://shop.ippodo-tea.co.jp/kyoto/shopf/
Best brand green tea to go with? I was looking online and confused myself. Id rather just go to Whole Foods and buy it like I do with my ACV than order online.
I drink a lot of green tea. Prefer the mild but grassy flavors.
Lupicia, a Japanese tea chain, is my go to for loose-leaf and bagged tea (they just bag their loose-leaf anyway). They have a few locations in America (SF, LA, Honolulu, Santa Clara).
Order online here http://www.lupiciausa.com/ I highly recommend the tea here. It's the same shit you'd find in Japan.
...gonna brew some now.
P.s. apple cider vinegar and coconut oil in tea? That sounds grody. Plain for me brotha

Green tea contains both caffeine (a stimulant) and l-theanine, an amino acid which aids in relaxation and focus. Theanine and caffeine work in tandem to produce a more focused, balanced buzz.
I also take theanine supplements, (and gaba). Used with a cup of coffee they can really bring balanced focus and productivity. Nootropic stuff here.
One downside of drinking too much tea is that many teas are blood thinners, so don't get a cut. I remember I bit my cheek while drinking that shit and I just kept bleeding for longer than normal. It did clot though.

I just bought the Costco massive box of green tea. Tastes authentic and reviews are positive. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/Kirkland-Signature...B000WB1YSE
I'm not a green tea expert but this tastes close to the stuff you get at Japanese restaurants. I've been taking green tea supplements for over a year now as part of my penis power set for full and powerful erections.

Not true. You can zap your liver and kidneys with too much green tea.
It's all a matter of dose. I read you'd need to drink 50 cups of green tea daily to achieve toxic doses so there's no real threat to people who drink a few cups.
BUT, if you use concentrated green tea ( capsules etc.) ,there is a real danger.

Imho, black tea is just as good as green tea. It tastes better and has a few effects green tea doesn't have such as lowering cortisol.

I drink both black and green tea and even coffee. It's all good.

i've just bought some koyu matcha green tea, seems to be pretty potent stuff
http://koyumatcha.com/wp/
very expensive though (almost 20 euro for a tiny tin)
will try and take a small amount daily and will report back with any noticable effects
i did experience a real clean energy buzz for about 2 hours this morning after taking it, but that was also partly due to the ACV and guatemalean coffee i had, but i had more energy than normal, so i'm thinking the matcha played a part

I absolutely adore all sorts of teas i keep ordering new flavours from http://jingtea.com/ every pay day. I'm a massive fan of the Moroccan mint green tea.
