I can't stand winter. Should I move somewhere warm?

This is something I've been thinking about a lot lately. I've basically realized that I just hate Winter with a passion. And no, this isn't just like a subjective preference thing or whatever. It's like, I feel emotionally drained during these months. I must have seasonal affective disorder or whatever. I just can't take any real pleasure in anything, no matter how good it is. I mean, February was my best earnings month ever, but I couldn't enjoy it, because it was winter and therefore too shitty for outdoor sports and walks.
Should I move somewhere with a better climate? If so, any recommendations? I'd prefer to stay in North America if possible.

I know what you mean. The shorter days here wreak havoc on my mental well-being; I guess it's being stuck inside most of the time, and not getting enough sunlight. Apparently that can make you a miserable S.O.B. after some time. fortunately this winter has been rather nice.
Whether or not you should move depends on a variety of factors; employment, family matters, friendships, etc. You've gotta weigh how much happier you'll be simply because of being in a warmer climate, than how much more miserable you might be without being close to your origins. For some people that matters a great deal.

It depends.
What are your goals in life? What is your life situation?
If it is possible move to a warmer city, yes.
Austin, Las Vegas or Miami.

I'm in Atlanta right now. Winter here's a joke compared to Toronto.
I agree that you should move somewhere warmer if you can do it. I'm exactly like you and I am going to hate the last few weeks of winter in TO when I go back.
