Why are all couchsurfers into liberal alternative things... almost all the couchsurfers I meet are pro-gay, pro feminist, or pro bullsh1t.

The last Jap girl I met off CS was also a fvcking looney BPD who loved gay guys or something but hadn't been laid in a year.
95% of the people on CS are starbucks drinkers. The only normal CS women I have met were the ones who had no couchsurfing experience yet. Strangely enough, my ltr ex from CS became a 'hippy lesbo couchsurfer' for a few years after our breakup.

Have had excellent luck with Couchsurfing in the past. For me the site is a useful tool to meet interesting people. As a side benefit I've also slept with a lot of women from the site. We're all animals, put two farily attractive people together and often they will end up fucking. I don't push with Couchsurfers, I take a very laid back attitude and tell them at some point in the conversation that I'm not going to make a move on them. Making someone uncomfortable in their house when you're their guest is not cool.

Used to be an ambassador for Couchsurfing and lots of girls would stay with me. Ended up sleeping with a lot of them, over the years things have only gotten better.

If you live in a high traffic area like New York, where it is expensive to stay and there aren't many hosts you can easily sleep with a lot of different women. A friend of mine that does this extensively in New York told me he didn't have to go out any more since he had the equivalent of take-out come to him. Started another friend who has a really nice place in Venice on the site and he's done fantastically well.

One of the last couchsurfers I meet was a girl from Germany that I meet in Vienna who had been travelling around Europe for the last 2 years on a Social program from Germany (Kindergeld oder irgend so was das ihre eltern jedes monat ihr geschickt haben) that was paying her 243 Euros a month. She was definitely the Rasta type but also very cute. If you aren't going to get along with SERIOUS penny pinchers then try to screen them out.

I remember having a Chinese girl over that was very boring and wouldn't go out at night because she didn't want to spend any money. She stayed with me for a few days and then headed out. Also had an English/Turkish guy over who thought among other things that the state was out to get him. Every one of these people you learn something from though and although sometimes it isn't always pleasant I think you come out as a better person since you have clear examples of things you don't want to do/be.

There are still a lot of interesting personalities on Couchsurfing.

Things are getting a little watered down now and there has been a lot of backlash regarding the replacement of the city "groups". A lot of people are moving to BeWelcome or other "Couchsurfing like" sites.

After Staying with over 40 hosts and hosting over 60 people I've never felt threatened physically in one of the places I've stayed or by one of the people that stayed with me. Ironically the only time I ever didn't feel safe at home was with an Italian Doctor (Psychiatrist) who had seen me flirting with another girl. She had a breakdown and was crying, yelling and going nuts. I hid my knives behind my underwear that night and told her to leave the next morning.

On a recent trip to Ukraine I did have some type of mite that caused an extensive rash on my leg.

There is no such thing as bad publicity! I posted on CS forum pretty outrages things like : where can I go in this town to get laid fast?..Some bitches didn't like it, but many were ok with it.
