Fuck yeah man, wicked tribute video to the show... Thanks for the share bro!

The episode that aired today was bad ass. Kinda sucks that they ended it in the middle of the climax.

Breaking Bad is Seriously Awesome [CONTAINS SPOILERS]

My post is going to contain spoilers.

The most annoying part of the show for me isn't Skylar.

It's the constant vacillation of Jesse and Walter. Beyond Walter's pride issues and slide into sociopathy, the character of Walter and Jesse makes no sense.

For example, Jesse being mad at Walter for poisoning the kid. The kid survives afterall. Jesse was infatuated with Mike, despite the fact Mike was going to kill both Jesse and Walter at multiple points. So it's okay for Mike to kill tons of people, but Walter poisoning a kid is a big deal for him. It makes no sense.

Half of the show revolved around Jesse and Walter getting mad at each other for relatively random stuff given the context of what had already happened.

The contrived conflicts between Walter and Jesse really make the show hard to watch now at the end.

Skylar's character at least makes sense and is consistent.

Also, the plot is pretty random. It's like anything can happen no matter how unrealistic.

I love this show and for me it is tied for #2 with "The Sopranos" on my all-time list and I will try my best to reply to your post rationally without acting like a fanboy.

Since the beginning of the show, Jesse has been shown to have a soft corner for kids. It makes sense that Jesse would hate Walt for poisoning Brock and lying to him.

Mike wasn't going to kill them but Mike didn't like Jesse initially. However, if you remember after Gus wanted to kill both Walter and Jesse, Gus and Mike manipulated Jesse (including the fake robbery to make Jesse feel better about himself). Mike became a father figure for Jesse and they both developed a relationship where they cared for each other.

You have to remember that Jesse had already begun disliking and distrusting Walter. He knows that he killed Mike and the 9 guys in prison (which he did not approve of, although I do think that was irrational because those 9 guys would have ratted out both Walt and Jesse). He also knows that Walt didn't care as much about the kid being killed during the train heist. Him finding about Brock was the straw that broke the camel's back, makes perfect sense.

They were mad at each other but they also had each other's backs and in process "broke bad" by killing people. BUT Jesse is shown to be much more conscious than Walt. The death of Gale impacted him much more than Walt killing Krazy8 or other people he killed. Watching that kid killed almost destroyed him. Finding out Brock was poisoned pushed him over the edge. I would hardly call the conflict contrived.

I don't see how the plot is random. All of Walt's actions are now beginning to have a severe ripple effect. He created such a brilliant product that all drug lords want his recipe or him to cook for them. Hank has shown to be a good detective behind that goofy demeanour and they had to show him finding out to write the last chapter of Walt's life.

My predictions for the last 3 episodes:

Hank and Gomie are dead.
The neo-Nazis capture Walt and Jesse.
Marie informs the DEA after she realizes Hank is dead and Walt is publicly outed.
Skyler gets arrested by the cops or she dies somehow.
Walt goes on the run and Jesse becomes a slave meth-cook for the Nazis.
Walt gets a fake identity from Saul's guy and comes back to town to save Jesse.
Walt's kids hate him and he loses his family (the one thing he still cares about right now). I very surprised that Walt still did not want Hank to get killed and called the whole thing off.
I am still not sure if Walt dies or not but he will be on the run without his family.

Yeah, that laugh was pretty creepy....one of those "that guy should get checked out" scenes. A few days later and I could still remember walter laughing.

I won't read your predictions as I wouldn't like to think about possible spoilers but I agree that Hank and Gomie are dead.

Remember in the prologue where walter buys the machine gun, goes to his fenced home and the neighbor drops her bags?

Walt couldn't had the house fence so something happened, probably a DEA raid or something.

His face looks worn out and tired, probably on the run.

Neighbor drops her bags.....clear indication she knows something bad about him.

Breaking Bad is Seriously Awesome [CONTAINS SPOILERS]

Along with Homeland season 1, Breaking Bad is the most addictive show I've ever watched. I only got into it this year and I watched every episode up until where they paused halfway through this season in about 2 weeks.

The Sopranos is better though, it's more like a Shakesperian play than a TV show. So many layers and all the symbolism etc make it just fantastic. One controversial opinion I have though, is that I think The Wire is overated. Many of the episodes bored me.

I never got into Breaking Bad. Never got into 'The Sporanos' either - I must be weird.

Still - I love the Saul Goodman character. Here are some internet-only webisodes featuring him:

They're white supremacists, not soldiers. But yeah, I get you...not to mention how did they get the AA-12? They are only a few prototypes around.

The M60 that Walter bought in the season's opener looks cool too.

I mean obviously you can't tell, but it doesn't make sense for them to survive. Plus if it was real life all three of them, Hank, Gomez, and Walt would be dead because those bullets would tear through that SUV like nothing. Only place you would be ok is behind the engine block. I will definitely be like, "WTF!!?" if someone doesn't die from that shootout.

Obviously Walt cannot be arrested because at the beginning of the 1st half and 2nd half of the 5th season you seem him looking more disheveled.

Maybe the graffiti of 'Heisenberg' in their house was done by Marie when she freaks out about Hank's death. Plus Marie was wearing all black when she answered the phone and the whole, jubilation of "We got him" and the I love you, seems cliché for death foretelling.

I'm more curious about Walt's relation to the white supremacists. Is that why we see the M-60, or whatever it was, in his trunk at the beginning of episode 1 of season 5? He refuses to cook or something and they are after him?

Does Walt leave his family or do they leave him?

For AMC so far I would say,

Mad Men >= Breaking Bad > Walking Dead

Low Winter Sun which is trying to be the next Breaking Bad is "eh" so far.

^^ Yeah, I am sure Hank and Gomie are dead next episode. They just wanted to leave it with the audience sweating buckets.

The more I think about it the more it seems like that Walt has the M-60 to rescue Jesse. That's the only thing that makes sense. Todd knows that Jesse is the only other person who can get Walt's signature blue meth and a 95%+ purity. The Nazis know Walt can't be intimidated that easily, so they will probably capture Jesse and make him their slave meth-cook. Walt escapes but Marie outs him and Walt uses Saul's guy to change identities for himself and maybe his family.

I don't see what else could possibly happen given what we know already.

In the season opener, it looks like the DEA got to Walt's home. His house is fenced in and his neighbor drops her grocery bags upon seeing him.

Heisenberg on the walls? Perhaps it's the Nazis calling him out, they got Jesse as the slave cook and they know Walt will rescue him due to their father-son relationship.

Perhaps saving Walt from the DEA results in having the Nazis tell Walt "we, from saving you from those fucks....it's going to cost you way more than one cook". Then the above happens.

Walt most likely changed his identity, hence the new car from New Hampshire and new ID. If you look when he bought the gun, the mood is nervous and sketchy. Lawson, the gun runner, goes straight to business instead of talking about freedoms and such. He doesn't like it and just wants to get the fuck out.

I just want to know why the house is fenced in.

Damn, I forgot about the ID, car, and where that whole Denny's thing took place. I had to google it.

My memory was too biased. I also looked at the beginning of episode 9 and realized there was other graffiti, so perhaps that 'Heisenberg' on the wall was after everything.

DEA raid, then the property is turned over the the city of Albuquerque?

As for everything else, I'm unsure, especially the whole possible Hank death scenario and how that will affect Skyler, Marie, and Walt's family.
