reading materials for conversations

What types of reading materials (books, magazines, etc) have you found to contain the best material that you've used in conversations? obviously, conversations with hot girls being the most important.

i never read cosmo but some say that is worth skimming, more serious current event stuff could be interesting also and is just good to know in general.

im not normally at a loss of topics for conversating, especially with girls who are easy to bullshit with but i want to know what i can read to get the best bang for my time in terms of interesting material.

Most of my conversations revolve around my travels and her aspirations. I personally don't bother reading Cosmo or anything like it.

Remember, talking about interesting things that you have actually experienced always trumps talking about interesting things that you have read about.

This is a "magic bullet" type question. There's no easy way.

Just read about things that interest you. The best way to get "material" for conversations is being well-rounded and knowledgeable on A LOT of topics.

I'd suggest you head over to this website HERE the site has various categories for tech, science, markets, etc. I go over there everyday to read whatever I find of interest, and it saves you a lot of browsing time. I use this website HERE to keep up with the latest entertainment news, etc.

Take a few minutes everyday to browse through both of those sources, and you will have plenty of conversational pieces to start out with. Aside from that, your best bet is to try, and read a variety of different books.

Remember to tune the conversation to the girl in question, if she is an idiot, then don't try discussing the complexities of foreign policy with her.

look up the "chick crack" thread

i tend to talk about what they want to do, ask questions to get them talking and they'll usually reciprocate.
as for reading material anything that gets you thinking.

i read science and psychology journals and sometimes i'm able to bring it up as interesting if the girls into science. psych is a good one all girls love psychology. also find a few blogs that are updated frequently with funny news stories or something. you'll usually notice something similar or she'll saysomething similar and then you can say "i read this article..." bring up a common theme with it and discuss.

There's two websites that have given me tons of interesting things to discuss, and they're both pretty addictive and amusing as well.

The first is actually (don't laugh) http://www.cracked.com/. There's TONS of great and funny articles that list random shit like the "Top 5 Biggest Coincidences In History" or "Top 5 Hit Songs Written By People You Least Expect" ...and thousands more. There's articles about history, science, movies, music, etc. It's pretty educational and gives you a ton of cool trivia to pull out if necessary.

In keeping in the same vein as Cracked, there's also http://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/. It's basically a user-submitted site where people list random facts about anything. I've picked up some really interesting pieces of info/trivia from there.

Otherwise, I just read random fiction and non-fiction books that I can pull interesting conversations from.

Unfortunately, I've found a lot of girls read little but are all up on the reality shows. So I try to keep abreast of what's going on so I can get at her breasts.

Definitely this.

Doing interesting things can help to make a man more interesting; he's experienced some shit, and has stories to tell.

Compare to the average schlub working his 40+ hours, going home and eating a TV dinner in front of the tube, then sleeping for his 7 or 8 before doing it all again the next day. No good stories to be had there.
