I’m surprised no one mentioned Bozeman, Montana.
It’s become a tech boomtown. Their unemployment rate is 1.9 percent.
There used to be a software company there that was bought out by Oracle in 2011, and made many of the employees rich, and they used their money to establish tech startups in Bozeman. The CEO of that tech company was Greg Gianforte, who is the congressman who body slammed the reporter ( and Trump busts his balls about it at rally’s there).
It’s also a very popular location for remote workers.
They’ve had a housing building boom there since then , and have very nice neighborhoods to raise a family. Very nice new yet affordable housing stock, surrounded by awesome mountain vistas. It surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and close to Yellowstone.
You can live in suburban neighborhoods or more isolated.
They have a nice little downtown with plenty of restaurants and bars.
