Haven't used google translate yet. However Wechat translate is good as it translates things on the spot so no need to copy paste a word/phrase and go to another site.
It was hilarious man! Even when walking together or sitting at the bar or even in bed, we had to use wechat to communicate the most basic things! We had a few hearty laughs about it but she's been good sports as she's been patient and has been teaching me some words.
Sw, forget about reading or writing it, at this time all focus is on speaking it and understanding it. Slowly, very slowly, even a couple of words here and there. Lol
