TLOZ: Thanks for posting the WaPo article. I had not seen that, but I've had my eye on Flynn for quite some time. Of course, a retired general is in principle not a bad idea, but this particular general might be encumbered with some unconventional baggage.
His last job in uniform was head of DIA -- a post he was effectively fired from (link) -- and then he seems to have made some friends at RT, the Kremlin's news network (or propaganda arm, depending on how you look at it). Last December as a private citizen, he sat at Putin's table at the 10th anniversary party for RT in Moscow. (link)
If he picks Flynn I predict the choice will be wildly popular with the Forum Membership
