Hopefully. But seeing this thread is actually profoundly depressing, imho. Mattress girl was ~5 years ago, and followed the UVA debacle. Both were outrageous, obvious hoaxes. In both cases legitimate investigations vindicated the men as being falsely accused, and Columbia U and Rolling Stone had to pay up.
But what has changed since then? Neither girl was ever held accountable for her actions, despite nearly ruining the entire lives of innocent young men. The equally absurd Kavanaugh hearings and #MeToo phenomena were allowed to proceed despite the exact same hallmark traits of hysterical female ranting and zero evidence.
It seems like we are on a recursive cycle that starts and ends every 3 years or so. A barrage of wild, unfounded accusations are leveled at some group of men (first college boys, then professional men), which ruin or permanently change some of their lives, until the obvious and egregious lying eventually gets to be too much and a mild push back occurs. But this doesn't mean the cycle won't start again, and more men won't be totally ruined by deranged sluts.

Except they did send an 80+ year old Cosby, who doesn't even have vision in one eye, to prison in one of the sketchiest prosecutions of all time. If Tyson was accused today, he would be absolutely fucked.
#MeToo is winding down, and the feminists suffered a defeat (kind of) with Kavanaugh. But that doesn't mean another cycle of even more insane false rape accusations isn't brewing to take off in a couple years. Who knows what kind of hideous new monster we might face then?
