You didn't answer the question. Why should Australia take in refugees? Just because they have in the past isn't a reason.
Australia impoverishes itself whenever it takes in a bunch of 3rd-worlders who leech off the system. It's no different than America taking in illegal immigrants.
It's obvious the average Australian doesn't want to deal with this shit anymore, which is why Abbott was elected.
