Generally, girls are obsessed with status indicators. So even if you otherwise seem like a cool guy, if you drop the fact that you play, say, Magic: The Gathering, she may go full retard, and think "OMG! NERD! RUN!!!" Even, as the link indicates, you make serious bank and are much better looking. There's being proud of who you are, but some things are just better left unsaid, pre-sex. She has known you for so little that she will judge you on every piece of info you give her. So if any red flags crop up, she may run for the door.
