Seems to be a north american thing - something that jumped out at me the other day on that "girl dressed as a fairy assualts circumcision protestor" video was someone called out "I'll call the cops on your ass" instead of "I'll smack the shit out of you". Well if North america is that pussified now, I guess it's only a matter of time before it gets that way here too.
I'm not american, but western europe is pretty much the same, both are "pussified". Punching a guy nowadays is dangerous legally, even in self-defense, pressing charges has now far more impact than punching someone back. In Rome do as the Romans do.
