OP, it is true that you over reacted but you admitted quickly that you’ve been quick in your assumptions. No need to constantly bash you and kind of ask you to get on your knees to ask for absolution. There are idiots in every country including the US, Germany and France. American are dumb, french are arrogant and german are stuck up and boring...stereotypes are easy and it is easy to make assumptions and put people in boxes, there are many idiots on this forum as well, I have read so many racist and narrow minded posts from high repped members. Anyway, OP, what did you think about safety? People say it is super dangerous in Rio currently except if you stay in Ipanema and Leblon but to me these neighborhoods are mainly for tourists, I dont wanna be locked in a ghetto for gringos.

Can a local with some game tell us if day game is doable in Rio and in which area? When I was there I felt women were constantly on guards because of safety issues, I admit that my super broken portuguese didn’t help.
