Yes. The reason capitalism makes no sense as the culprit is because America (and Europe) was far more capitalist in the 19th century, yet most men could expect to marry a virgin in those days.
If anything, capitalism reduces women to commodities as marriage partners, which makes their virginity more valuable and therefore keeps women chaste.
In today's corporatist world, the world is fueled on debt that cannot be repaid, which means no one lives for the future but instead the present. Hence women are sluts because the subconscious expectation of today's world is to, "Enjoy the decline," - there is no future worth saving for.
