The whole point of this thread is that a lot of christians want a gay church but the problem with that is that it isnt biblical. Neither is the lifestyle of a player. How do you reconcile that?
I think Reverend Brown put it best during his address to the Miss Black Awareness pageant.

I didn't come here
to preach to you today.
But when I look at these contestants
for The Miss Black Awareness pageant,
I feel good, 'cause I know
there's a God somewhere.
There's a God somewhere.
Turn around, ladies.
You know there's a God
who sits up high, and looks down low.
Man cannot make it like this.
Larry Flint, Hugh Hefner...
They can take the picture,
but they can't make it.
Only God above can make it for ya.
Did God make these titties just to tempt us?
Is this bum the work of the devil?
No way, Jose.
The problem with "gay Christianity" isn't (just) that it's unbiblical - as if it were just a legalistic question of interpreting scripture.
The problem is that it's intrinsically wrong.
I have nothing against gays. If grown men want to bum each other, I hope they're happy. If they're not hurting anybody they should be left to do their thing without discrimination or harassment.
That's tolerance.
But let's not mistake tolerance for approval.
Homosexuality is a kind of disorder. We're a species of sexually dimorphic mammals. Something - maybe genes, maybe bacteria, maybe environmental causes - causes a small number of people to develop an aberrant sexual attraction to the same sex.
That's not really a big deal. Society can comfortably tolerate a few poofters. It's fine. We're long past the days when gays were put in jail for sodomy (in Western countries anyway), and it's good that we're not needlessly horrible to them. There's enough misery in the world without adding to it.
But we shouldn't
celebrate homosexuality. Because it's not normal. It's not healthy. It isn't something that any religion that expects to have a future should want to portray as being equivalent to normal heterosexual impulses.
Now, as to the lifestyle of a player. Is that unbiblical? Could be. I'm not a Bible scholar. Though I tend to think God would understand that we are but men, full of the impulses He made us with. Very few of us are born to be saints.
C'mon God... no fair!
But here's the crucial distinction: I haven't heard of any players demanding that churches bless their rawdogging player ways.
Nobody's asking that "Day Bang" be included in sermons.
Nobody's suggesting that Christian churches change their teachings to celebrate men with huge notch counts.
It's just the gays who want special treatment here, because for a lot of them tolerance isn't enough - they want to force people to approve of them too.
