American women are typically oblivious to how good they have it here. It doesn't occur to them that they're essentially guaranteed to land a guy who puts much more effort into himself than they do, and be able to have casual sex with guys in a different stratosphere of attractiveness.

Reality sets in either when they try to land a man in a region that's not so skewed, or when they have a brother who's also on the dating scene. The girls with brothers I've met via online dating all say that while they're overwhelmed with attention, their brother has shit results. Needless to say, siblings have similar genetics and are usually in the same "league" of attractiveness. I don't think there's a hamster in the world strong enough to rationalize that as anything other than a skewed dating market.

Many Chinese men dream of touching large breasts on a long haired blonde woman with blue eyes. It's exotic to them. That said, when I would ask them if they would ever marry one, they quickly say no. [Image: lol.gif] They just want to fuck one from what I can tell.

Yep American women are in their nirvana right here in the States. They really don't have to do anything other than breathe in order to get male attention. The effect of this is that they don't have to put forth any effort into being feminine. They can also get away with having very bitchy personalities. That's why they are so undesirable once they leave the USA.

The inverse is true for American men, we are thought of highly in other parts of the world.

Now that I'm 30, I must say I enjoy watching the tables turn. Even my own mother flips out when I tell her that I'll eventually find a much younger and beautiful girl in EE/SEA after badgering me on why I don't have a girlfriend.

The market has spoken. She acts as if she still was in a western country with obesity rates 70% or higher, putting minimal or zero effort into her appearance, and acting entitled as if just the act of breathing was sufficient to land a quality male.

Not in HK and other places in Asia, time to return to usa, fattie.

And the thing about HK that no one has mentioned (yet); in addition to the reams of cute Cantonese chicks and rich girls from the mainland, it's also an international center for modeling. Not quite to the same extent as New York, Paris, London or Tokyo, but loooooooooooooots of foreign hotties creeping around that place.

...So that's right, Miss-Average-American-Girl-5/10-Would-Bang-if-really-really-Drunk-once. Not only are you competing with the skinny, pretty locals - you've also gotta deal with a lot of the cream of the crop from EE/SEA.

Good luck with that.

Going to a club in Hong Kong often felt like a well-dressed frat party in which bar tabs bigger than my monthly rent would disappear with the swipe of an Amex. There were of course kind, attractive men in that group who defied the stereotype, but I didn’t have much luck meeting them, online or off.

She forgot to give the most important detail, which I've filled in below:

Plus, most of these men were invariably accompanied by young, thin, feminine Asian girls with whom I just couldn't compete in the looks department.

I've never seen or heard a Western ex-pat woman like her say this out loud in Asia. They always say, "The local women are sluts" or "All these guys have an Asian fetish." They never admit that it's because the Asian women are more attractive than them. They don't seem able to admit this.

She left out the part where she wouldn't shut up about all these foreign authors like Trotsky and how she hates it when Americans think reading a book that's been turned into a movie is "the same as reading liturature".

This poor guy just said the only thing he could to insure she got the message.

That is true. The female attractiveness standards are pretty high in asia. A local asian guy loses considerable face by dating below whether it be class or looks. It's not like in the anglosphere where every other buff tall guy you see is with a cave troll.

This is a common reaction for girls who travel abroad. Girls are just so spoiled in the US and the thirst of guys is so high, that it's

to them that in other parts of the world there aren't lines of men who want to date them. For example here's a description of some coworkers of mine from a few years back.

A) Mid 30s, has to be at least 300 lbs, has a husband.
B) Late 20s, short and 200+ lbs, has a boyfriend who isn't a bad looking guy.
C) Busted girl with a huge gut, dating a wealthy attorney.
D) Fattie with 2 kids, has a boyfriend who seems normal.

Now I don't know these guys well, but there's clearly something wrong. The guys have had the wool pulled over their eyes and convinced that's the best they can do or they're just lazy as fuck. Girls here don't know how good they have it.

When a woman isnt complaining, something is wrong.

Another gold nugget.

Made me think-- Maybe it's because of the disconnect between their reproductive selection mechanism (which presumably is more accurate than men's--mistakes mean huge wasted effort in child-bearing and possible extinction)--and their "intellect."

Their equalist-undermined "intellect" can't reconcile their primitive craving for dominance with the fantasy of equality of the sexes.

For men it's not that hard to accept the reproductive truth-- I want a young, fertile-looking girl with emotional and mental health. Such a girl could give me 15-16 healthy children and virtually ensure genetic continuation for centuries. She should also be un-bitchy enough to not alienate our tribe from us or our offspring.**

Extraordinary talent is not really that high on the list of sought after traits, as talent is usually muted by lack of concentration and work capacity in females.*

For a woman, there are more paths to self-perpetuation:

-- a very wealthy man whose offspring will be wealthy for generations and thus reproduce even if short, or having ugly faces. Or hemophilia.( Aristocracy)

-- a tall, handsome, sexual, close-to-sociopathic man whose coldness and boldness will insure perpetuation. (Sales guys)

-- in the last 20 years, someone who can sit and think in terms of computer logic all day. Zuckerberg's, Bill Gate's descendants will be wealthy for many generations. (Nerds) ( Anyone notice Gates ROCKS in his seat like a kid with problems in interviews. He's giving his money to humanitarian stuff, I can't criticize, the guy is not a dick.)
=======

* In other words, presumably Picasso's mother was a very talented woman, or he wouldn't be Picasso, but generally a genius's mother in her lifetime would at best a good amateur-- her female physical and mental limitations would prevent full expression of her genetic potential which would emerge in her son. It may be worth noting that James Joyce married a non-intellectual woman (She was quoted as calling his writing "..a waste of paper..". Their daughter was unfortunately schizophrenic.

=========
** Where I grew up there was a family ("Nicefamily") who had a service business, and all the members of the family were noticeably charming, polite, and genial. When I talked to others in the community they would agree each member of the Nicefamily they had met was very nice. That kind of thing has monetary, survival, and reproductive value. Who will you want to ally with in times of trouble?

It's hard to say "laziness" - I mean uprooting your life for pussy takes work. But it's definitely the wool over the eyes/girls being oblivious. Girls/Women have convinced guys it's perfectly fine if they're not acting feminine because that's "who they are", and if they want a girl who's attractive that's unrealistic. Fuck - even AMERICAN CELEBRITIES are no longer attractive. Look at the commercials on TV. Look at the billboards. Those women have trained their whole lives to be a model/actress- and don't compare to the standard in South America.

The definitions are fuzzy, of course, but the word expat often connotes someone who has relocated in a high-end white collar job on a sweet package. He is also likely not permanently there. Expats need not be white, though they often are, simply because these opportunities occur most frequently for white people. That said, when I lived in London, I knew quite a few Japanese guys whom I would have described as being expats as per the above.

As for the distinction between white immigrants and non-white immigrants in different countries, I'd say there isn't necessarily one. I am an immigrant. There are also lots of distinctions between us within Asia. There are lots of low-skilled losers here in Taiwan, and I'm not even referring to the stereotypical alcoholic white guy. Those guys are like the immigrant caught in the rut of a mediocre job in a Western country.

The squeeze is already being felt with English teaching. Gone are the days when they would hand you a big bag of money just for stepping off the plane from America. Many English teachers here earn <$20/hour, and cap out at $25/hour within a couple of years. They will always be the bottom of the totem pole at the organisation that employs them, and they get absolutely no respect from anyone. Sure, they earn more than a lot of locals, though probably only outside Taipei (where $20/hour is not that far above survival wages, even for locals). A lot of these guys save virtually no money also. I had one immigrant tell me she struggled to save $3,300/year here, and that was after having been here for more than a decade. Part of it is their spending habits, part of it is the cost of living. Regardless, these kinds of people basically peaked two years into their lives here in Taiwan, and have been coasting (usually slightly downhill, thanks to inflation, the stagnating economy and the changing English teaching industry) ever since. At no point have they hustled in any way. You talk to them about all sorts of things and you can see what utter losers they are. I used to get really, really frustrated when dealing with them because they always wanted to choose the path of least resistance and were lazy and unambitious beyond comparison. Now I don't deal with them, either professionally or socially. A loser is a loser. I don't think I'm any sort of genius, but I've started two businesses here (and have an idea for a third that I will be pitching/testing soon) and have increased my net worth by several hundred thousand dollars since I've been here. Again, in a place like America, you see immigrants who remain on minimum wage and you see immigrants who become millionaires in much the same fashion, probably for the same reasons.

Regardless, a big day of reckoning is coming for a lot of these guys within the next decade or two. They've burnt all of their bridges back home, and if they were to return, they'd have no job prospects and pitiful net worth. Yet they've built nothing here, generally own nothing, and will continue to see their employment prospects stagnate at best. Also, there is no welfare or social security to speak of. As one guy I knew who did have some drive once remarked, there are going to be a lot of white people picking up cardboard and selling it for recycling (something really poor, old people do here).

Many countries in Asia do not have an immigrant track. For example, here in China, I cannot marry. The best I can do is marry a local and after years and years, qualify to apply for long term family visas. I am not guaranteed these visas no matter how much time passes and my applications may be rejected at any time and my existing visas may be unexpectedly cancelled at any time, if that's what they want to do to me.

Taiwan allows immigration after 5 years. You must give up your previous citizenship.

Hong Kong allows permanent residency after 7 years. You do not need to give up your previous citizenship, but will receive a Hong Kong travel document, which is as good as gold.

Japan allows naturalization only if you marry a local and I think it takes about 10 years.

I don't think there are many other options in East and South East Asia, if any. Not sure about South Asia.

In many cases, we are not immigrants, because we cannot be. Or even in the case of Taiwan, who wants to give up their Canadian/British/US passport and citizenship? Some have, but keep in mind, if you do this, you might have trouble seeing your family back home in the future and will be limited to 3 month tourist visas in most case. You will have to go through the normal visa channels to get a work visa for your birth country.

Hong Kong is the only good option in my mind and one that I've considered for myself, but you need seven years consecutive on legit work, investment, student visas or a combination of two or three.

Since work visas in Hong Kong restrict you to just one employer, you'll be at the mercy of whatever income you can earn from one employer for your time in Hong Kong. Good if you are a banker, bad if you do pretty much anything outside the investment world, since most salaries do not pay a lot in Hong Kong if you don't have high end skills.

This is true.

However, if you are willing to work hard and define your skill set, there still is money to be made. I don't generally work for less than $31 per hour in Beijing, unless it's part of a package deal that includes lots of day time hours, because it is hard to fill daytime slots in your schedule. Night time and weekends are easy to fill.

$31USD per hour x 30 hours of work = $49840 USD per year. Not a bad income. There are guys who really hustle and earn more, up to $70,000 USD.

But yes, there are a lot of losers here who do none of this.

If you factor in the cost of future retirement, eventually paying for decent medical care as you age and the cost of housing/children, a typical ESL job in China pays garbage wages.

A lot of comments about how feminism will hurt women more than men in the long run. Very true statement. How many years or generations do you think until women start to regret the "sex and the city" lifestyle? How much longer do you think until western society gets the picture? Especially with more and more unmarried women hitting the wall, being nothing but a pump and dump, no children, and having their canine pet as their only real companion.

It's hurting them now, no need to look to the future.

http://www.theatlantic.com/business/arch...lar/60211/

"The Two Income Trap.

The thesis is innovative and, I think, at least partly correct: that in many ways, two income families have made households less financially stable, not more so.

Among higher income families, much of the extra income has simply been poured into a bidding war with other higher income families for homes in good school districts.

Among lower income families, much of the extra income has gone to replacing home production with market production: convenience meals, work clothes, second cars, child care, and so forth."

So when women got into the workforce, instead of living in modest houses and saving money, she poured her earnings into a better house in a better school district (*cough white flight cough*). Because she needed to be sure that her children would be better educated. Is that because she wouldn't be there to go to the PTA or monitor what's going on with those 4th grade fractions? Hmm.

If you are a manosphere guy, this also means
- women bump men out of education
- working women bump men out of the career
- working women that become mothers, waste the investments that businesses put into them

If women weren't working today, how many men would be employed?

If women were cooking every day, what would child hood and adult hood obesity look like?

If women were at home taking care of children, and not sending them to daycare, letting them watch tv/dvd/play with Ipads, would we see ADHD in the same #'s?

I dunno. But a lot of American issues and issues in the Developed world track with the rise of women leaving their traditional spheres of influence.

The result of educating women, putting them in the work force, doubled the supply of available labor for the work force and arguably destabilized every economy and therefore everyone country wherever this has happened.

Even seeing this kind of correlation, can anyone honestly give me a good reason why a woman shouldn't go to school, and why she shouldn't be allowed to get a job?

I wonder what Red Pill guy thinks the Afghans are right about keeping their women ignorant and illiterate?

The whole cringeworthy bit at the end with Dan Brown (which she somehow thinks is making her look good) suggests that she is not only entitled, but basically incapable of interpreting and navigating social situations. I doubt she ever had all that much male attention in the US either.

But as others have said already, these girls are dime a dozen in HK. The successful attractive white guys will ignore her, at the same time she considers herself too good for local men. Bitter girls like her are amusingly enough the perfect fit for the latter, because local men will also often whine and complain endlessly about foreign men stealing girls, and call the local girls sluts, instead of trying to admit the problem may lie with themselves. I still remember the whole David Bond affair last year - everyone was whining that Bond and the other white guy were objectifying and humiliating local girls, when it was the angry basement virgins at HKGolden (a popular local forum) who dug up the girls' private info (full names, Facebook, uni) and publicly shamed them.

Yes, but Australia doesn't cut it if you want to check off the "elite level international experience" box.

Of course, let's remember that genuine international experience often leads to men being more interesting and therefore more attractive, but in never leads to women being more desirable.
