Hotels To Stay At In Sagion/Ho Chi Minh City

Hey guys.
I'm heading to Saigon on February 27th and I'm looking to get a hotel for 1-2 weeks while I shop around for an apartment.
Wanted to know if anyone had a cheap hotel they went to and liked, and that:
a) Would turn the other cheek at bringing girls in or,
b) You could pay a small fee to get them to look the other way
I've heard it's hard to find hotels that are OK with you bringing "guests". But, for my first 1-2 weeks I'm not planning to do jackshit except find an apartment, drink, party, bang, explore, and meet people.
Looking to spend somewhere in the 20-30$/night range.
Let me know if you've got any suggestions! Plenty of lists of "girl friendly" hotels via Google, but would prefer some first hand suggestions.
Thanks all.

Yeah, Vietnam is a boring agrarian communist shit hole. You have NO chance of getting laid here, the food sucks, the women are fat and lazy, there is no high speed Internet infrastructure, and most areas are controlled by packs of wild dogs.
I stayed at a place a few blocks South of PNL, paid $6 per night for a month at a time. Family owned, but was able to bring my girl back. A lot of family owned places are nicer but you won't be able to bring a parade of girls through, then you have hotels which are seedier but look the other way with girls. Rather than skin worrying about your first week or two, in my opinion I think you'd be better off reigning in your dick for 7 days and smashing with reckless abandon once you have an apartment. Of course, you could always stay somewhere nice and visit a sex hotel for 3 bucks if the girl is down to fuck. Perfectly acceptable social practice here.
Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.

Few options listed on my website. I would aviod the main backpacker area, some of the bars blast music till 4-5am. It's really loud and hard to get to sleep in HCM.

try ho sen or the ho sen 2 hotel in d1. very close to the sheraton, perfect location, about 30 $ a night, good breakfast included, you can bring girls in. stayed there a few days ago and liked it.

Where do expats live in HCM?
I stayed at the party street which was fun for a couple nights, then stayed near the center and Japanese area, which was cool but expensive and didn't have a party vibe.

Hey guys my bad for going MIA, focusing on getting my book done XD.
Guest houses are super cheap, but I'm a bit of a priss and after flying to a new country to start my living abroad days, I decided to spring for a bit more for comfort's sake. Looked up some suggestions above and found a huge sale (but I'm assuming it's a marketing gimmick) and availability at joelf's recommendation for the Little Saigon Corner. Going to stay for 8 nights, worked out to $32 CAD a night or 27 US, which is pretty good.
After doing a bit of exploring I'll probably focus on getting an apartment, as I don't have enough disposable income to keep staying in hotels lol. I'll be networking before (on and off this forum) so will also try to be partying... and banging. Pipelining should come in handy, but yeah, if it has to wait a week so I can get a solid place booked, I'll live.
I'll post all my journey and info stuff to the forum, and hopefully everyone can gain.
Thanks again all!
