I said this was coming. Gay marriage wasn't the endgame, it was just the beginning of a push to for homosexual inclusion in every facet of our lives. Gay marriage now provides the justification for it. "Our marriages are now legally acknowledged and equal to yours in every way, so why can't we show men getting married in TV commercials and video games or school books?" We're going to get activists demanding more gay characters in TV shows and movies, that the educational system teach more about gays. Man, I don't understand how the gay agenda keeps invading everything. How are big corporations being so manipulated by such a small percent of the population?

Are heterosexual people so sensitive that they would boycott a company for not treating gay people as special snowflakes?

I don't believe for a minute that it would alienate so many people that a large company like Nintendo could go under.

I used to be really tolerant of peoples choices, but I am getting very tired of being demonized because I don't fit in to certain groups/minorities/sexes.

Homosexuals are massive wealth trolls. They accumulate large amounts of wealth but have no ability to pass it on/hold on to it so it largely all gets spent away into consumption. They are not wired to provide so for a gay male he works just as hard as man to make money but spends t as quick as a woman does. To the corporate class it's the perfect combo and this is why they pander so much to 5% of the population.

More people are crippled and in wheelchairs but you don't hear the cries to make video games and media better represent the fact that 12-15% of Americans are handicapped. Why? Because they don't have wealth to exploit like the homo class does.

From the corporate standpoint it's all money.

I don't like when people make demands that others conform intellectual property to suit their political agenda, but let's be honest here. It isn't gay activists doing this, it's a huge segment of the public at large doing what's in vogue, and it isn't for "gay video games," it's for broader definitions of weddings or relationships or some other minutiae.

In fact the entire industry seems poised to move in this direction. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but if it really offends you then vote with your dollars.

And while he does raise good points from time to time, Alex Jones may not be playing with a full deck.

What I really don't understand is... how many games are blatantly hetero in the first place? Just because the hero saves the princess doesn't mean he is necessarily straight. They're making an issue out of nothing, but they usually do.

Nintendo's products are aimed squarely at children. I think this is the gay agenda's push to expose kids to their agenda/lifestyle and "normalize" it so when the kids get older they won't know any better and continue letting the gays have their way whenever they bitch and whine. On a semi-related note as a gamer this pisses me the fuck off. Video games have been one of the few places where gay propaganda wasn't being jammed down your throat. The plot lines and stories were and are (for the most part) not politically correct and benign. Things have been changing in the past two years though. The gays and their assorted freak show allies have made a push to be "accepted" in the community and a lot of the major video game news outlets (kotaku, joystiq, etc.) are leading the charge.

Some of them, to their credit, do. There's a whole Gaymer's (That's the term they use now) convention called GaymerX where they go and talk about how they're gay, and they make gay games... or, something. It's not my thing, but I have the utmost respect for anyone who has a creative vision and does the hard work needed to carry it out.
But there's a certain sort of person, and for whatever reason this type seems to be abnormally concentrated in the gay community, that doesn't want to make anything. They just want to tell other people what they are and aren't allowed to make. These are the people who bitch about not being able to take a gay lover in some obscure Nintendo game. I think they genuinely love the feeling of power that comes from bending somebody else's creativity to their will.

Unfortunately, they've pretty much taken over the US industry. Look at fucking Bioware; I remember I quit playing Dragon Age 2 when the game slapped me with a gameplay penalty for refusing to have gay sex with my healer. They're loud, and organized, and gay rights is the cause de jour, so usually they get their way.

Thankfully, Japan has not yet succumbed to them. Just to balance out the naked muscle men from up thread, I give you "Dekamori Senran Kagura", coming this fall to Playstation Vita's everywhere. This is a cooking sim, where two large-breasted girls face off to see who can make the most delicious dish. The loser is gradually stripped naked, and then covered in dessert toppings and forced to assume lewd poses. I'm probably going to buy it, just to piss in the eye of every single one of the people who want to tell me what kind of games I can and can't play.
