What do you guys think would be the best city in Poland to spend a couple of weeks this spring?

Have heard good things about krakow and wroclaw... However Im not sure how true they are.

Wroclaw is tough.Although a lot.poorer than Poznan. The main reason are the interconnections of student population who sit all day doing nothing. Once you approach a girl another 30 girls has learned about your approach. So your chances are quickly eliminated.Poznan is much more affluent in the sense of girls acting independently and minding their own business so it is considerably easier.Add to this the liberal atmosphere imported from close Berlin.
In Wroclw the girls look very similar to the western Ukrainian girls in Lvov my guess is that their parents come from these territories while Poznan girls look typically polish with the Teuton touch.

Sopot in the summer is fucking awesome. I'm buying a place there!
You can always have fun in Warsaw. But it will be a bit more expensive.

I like going to smaller cities like Katowice, Lublin or Bailystock. These places are shitholes, but they are cheap and you can always have a good time. You will also stand out a lot more as a foreigner.

Two things:
1) Sopot in the summer=Warsaw regarding prices. Apartments tend to be very expensive there as well for local standards.
2) Bialystok would be probably the worst (in a 1-10 risk rating way) for non-white guys, but it's a good base for Baltic countries.
Just like a Lublin (relatively decent looking city with a reasonable students population) can be a base for Belarus and Ukraine trips.

Everytime I had to choose between western Ukraine and Poland I always choose western Ukraine and I never regretted. It is a no brainer a choice you make with closed eyes.

I am postponing my 3rd trip there on weekly basis, but all my local contacts keep inviting me and are saying that for tourist basically nothing have changed since last time I was there (early December).

If situation won't get worse significantly I will probably make a trip at early April. But I am looking for a few days, not a few months.

I actually never visited Szczecin (never got past Koszalin in this region), but I would say/guess it's one level higher comparing to other ones you've mentioned. And I seriously wouldn't know any reason why anyone would visit Kwidzyn.

At least Zielona Gora has a top basketball team in Poland (and very nice arena, which is basically a huge recreational complex - really impressive even comparing to Poland A cities) and their main "X-Demon" disco is also more than decent for polish standards.

Hi Kamaki what is 'the classic dresiarz' ?

They are polish guys dressed in dresy(uniforms) and wearing sports shoes(usually Adidas).Many polish village girls are attracted by them and go out only with dresiarz.They are the most primitive Poles and like to give serious beatings.They are the equivalent of gopniks in Russia.

I'm in Wroclaw now. There are many cute girls but they do appear to be in relationships.

Some impressions:
- Polish guys all have the same haircut. I wanted to get a haircut but I'm too scared now.
- Cash register people never place the change in my hand even though it is visibly open for them to drop change in. They slam it down on the register for me to pick up instead.
- There are long queues always at the super pharmacy for some reason. No automated checkouts.
- Polish people hate their country. They repeatedly tell me that I'm crazy to have chosen Poland to visit and think America is the best country in the world. Lack of national pride is surprising to me. I am detecting an inferiority complex. My European and English friends in London also express surprise I would go to Poland.
- Spoken English is quite good. Guy lectured me for asking for an orange juice because this is not England. When I told him I'm from Australia he became friendly.
- Australians have a good rep here in Poland. We are seen as a rich country that is open minded and adventurous enough to travel all of Europe, not just the West
- Wroclaw was a German city for most of its history. The Polish population who live here now came mostly from Lvov in present day Ukraine.
- 70% of Polish girls have superb bodies. Nice T&A. I can confirm that but her face / butterface is widespread. Their bodies are much better than their faces on average.
- Some people talk to me in Polish but I have been told I don't look Polish. There are some Anglo looking Poles but I agree that I have a different look.
- Polish quite friendly to me. Welcomed into a large social circle of 10

- There are some really good nightclubs here. Dead quiet on Wednesday. Went to Insomnia on Thursday based on Polish recommendation.
