I'm about to start working for a location independent job and if all goes well I will be on a plane and solo world traveling while working in about 1.5-3 months from now. Bank roll looks like it'll probably be around 50k USD / year before tax.

I'm 22 and just graduated from university in December. American, 5'6'', white guy. Pretty beginner game, but I'm decent looking aside from my height, good job, and my greatest strength is I love starting conversations with strangers and approaching. Need to improve everything after the first three minutes though.

I've decided to pursue slow travel and explore Europe. My goal is to spend one year traveling and then decide what I want to do after that. I'll be working 9-5, trying to build social circles, and gaming.

My initial thoughts are to spend 3 months in a Schengen city, then 3 months in a non-Schengen, rinse, repeat.

My current list (not in any order yet):
Sweden (Schengen): Uppsala or Stockholm
Romania (Non-Schengen): Iasi or Bucharest
Poland (Schengen): Bunch of options
UK (Non-Schengen): Edinburgh or Glasgow
Germany (Schengen): Hamburg, Bremen, Kiel, or Hanover
Denmark (Schengen, but there's a bilateral treaty with USA): Copenhagen or Aarhus
Ukraine (Non-Schengen): Wanna go here really bad but dunno about the Crimea/Russian situation

My current city / country choices are based off:
1. I'm short so I'd like to avoid countries like the Netherlands. Are there any other places in my list I should avoid? I don't give a shit about my height but I'm realistic and I wanna get every advantage I can get. I've searched the forum a ton and read almost every datasheet on these countries and cities so I know there's not a real good consensus on where the shorties at. But apparently the UK and Romania should be good for that. Any input on this would be appreciated.
2. I'm really into pale white women (which seems to be more Northern Europe). Like ghastly fucking white if I had to be with one girl the rest of my life.
3. I like the thickness western european women have compared to eastern european women (not into chubbies/fatties, but at equal bodyfat percentages Western European women seem to me to have thicker bodies - especially hips and thighs - than Eastern European women who are more slender). But I have little exposure IRL to thinner Eastern looking women outside of porn so I want to see if I'm just naive of my boner's true preferences.
4. I know UK doesn't get much love on this forum but I have a thing for redheads so I wanna find out if Scotland is the promised land. And UK women are supposed to be really pale. We'll find out if I go there.

If anyone has any thoughts on the cities I'm looking at, suggestions about places I should consider or places I should drop, or whatever else I'd love to hear it. And if anyone wants to know about getting location-independent work as a programmer (or just plain foreign / expat work as a programmer) I can answer questions about that.

I will make a datasheet on the city my uni's in (Lincoln, Nebraska) too when I have somewhere else to compare to. @Road_Less_Taken: I studied Computer Science and have good internships, worked for companies during the school years, and have pretty good personal projects. Average new grad salary for software developers is at least 50-55 almost anywhere in the US (including Nebraska) and 70-90 depending on where you are in more expensive areas like high cost of living coastal cities. New grads in software who really know their shit can get 90-120k in the valley (one of my best friends got a job there and we didn't go to an Ivy league school or anything). In all honesty I could make a lot more if I lived in San Francisco or NYC but I'm taking the lower pay to be able to travel.

As far as remote work, all I can say is I've probably emailed/applied to 100 remote work companies/opportunities with somewhat personalized cover letters. Right place, right time.

UK/Ireland/Scotland have big obesity problems, so the hot redheads are extremely rare. It's a numbers game for sure finding them.

Yeah there are some seriously amazing girls here, the thing is the male competition (from a physical point of view) is seriously intense. So if you are just a random dude who comes up to these girls at a bar (there are no clubs here) they are gonna have some decent bitch shields. There are some bars where everyone knows everyone just because the Greek scene here is that tight and incestous. But then again there aren't any older, attractive, successful guys from LA, NYC, Europe, etc. talking to these girls so it'd be interesting to hear how an RVF member experienced a US sorority/fraternity dominated nightlife in a US college town. I'm not sure how it'd go just because things seem so social-circle based here to me, but if you are their age you better have high SMV (tall, cool, attractive) for a male or have good game (which I don't have tons of either).

Weather in Granada is great year round, on top of that its a beautiful city, its cheap, the people are nice and there are very pretty girls due to the Moroccan influence and hence a bit more chubby/well rounded as you like ;-).

I know it gets a lot of hate in these parts, but why don't you consider London, rather than the Scottish cities you mention? Edinburgh may be OK, but Glasgow is going to be brutal. As you mention the UK is Non-Schengen, and as an American you will likely get 6 months "leave to remain" when entering.

You haven't listed any Tier 1 cities in your list. e.g. London, Paris, maybe Berlin now. Is this intentional? IMO the whole "travel to second/third tier cities, and even countries, in order to score" is poor advice. Tier 1 cities are top of the heap for a reason. One of the reasons they get more hate than other places is simply because there are more people living in them and travelling to them. And people like to bitch. No , they dont fit in the hanna harper phenotype, however they arent representative either (although if you think lucy pinder fits within your average briton, her face doesnt stand out as foreign looking, 5'4 to 5'5 in height, tends to be curvy + minus the overweight factor and perhaps bob job and better than average face), but if you think average british girl look like that you are far from the scope.

A few logistical things that you might want to explore to narrow down where you want/can go:

1. Cost of living. Its obvious you already have a grasp on this concept. $50k a year is good in Nebraska (I'm in Iowa so about the same environment) but I see places like London, Stockholm, and Copenhagen listed. All extremely expensive cities that 50k a year won't get you far in. I would take a look at cities that provide the best bang for your buck in this regard.

2. Healthcare system. honestly, see what its like. Are you still on your parents health insurance? I know at 22 you don't think much about stuff like this but it could be something to think about if you get diagnosed with cancer or something catastrophic.

Cork, Cork Ireland is a redhead paradise in my opinion. Lots of blondes as well and a recent influx of Poles. Im in Cork next week and dieing to start fucking my own kind again (Im a Ginger as most westerners would say) Definitely take your time in Cork and PM me if you end up their ever and want to chill with a Corker!

If you go for women Europe=eastern Europe. There is nothing else.
