Need Help Finding a 2nd Tier US CITY

But specifically tailored for having a good time.

Stay with me on this. I'm looking for somewhere new to go.

Criteria:

-A city that can provide venues for both a younger crowd and mature upscale crowd.
-Has a gastronomy scene that is unique to the Region (ie New Orleans Cajun style or Austin and their TX BBQ)
-Bars/Clubs music scene isn't concentrated on one genre but has variety.
-Most main attractions are within most of the major hotels.

I'm thinking late January-mid February. Weather is NOT a factor.

A Wednesday-Sunday trip.

Let's try to keep New Orleans, NYC, and cities in Florida and California out of the equation. Atlanta has been covered quite a bit also along with Vegas.

Chicago is a no go.

Maybe Milwaukee?

I dont know of any that meet all of those requirements. But i'd still suggest;

Phoenix AZ - bevies of blondes
Charleston SC - southern belle undergrads
Orlando FL - easy & trashy

Montreal nightlife is better than all, but will be colder than santas balls this time of year.

Why is Chicago a no go?

Girls are friendly in Charlotte.

Various bars/clubs near the Uptown hotel scene.

Someone else may be better able to chime in on which places are good on which nights though; I only spent one weekend there and have since only been back for a Thursday-Friday quick business trip.

And Minneapolis as well.

My suggestions:

La Crosse - an underrated gem. Tons of bars lot's of college girls, everything is pretty close by. Downside will be the cold weather.

Iowa City - Home of the number one party school right now. If you can stand the cold weather you should be good.

Madison - Another college town. Tons of fun and there's a lot to do.

I lived in Portland, Maine for about 6 months this year and they have by far the greatest restaurants I've been to. Way better than NYC, where I lived for 8 years. Hotels in the Old Port is where you would want to be and it's probably cheap this time of year. Lots of bars and restaurants in a small walkable area. Some live music options also. The seafood of course is off the charts. Be sure to go to Street & Co for that, and The Grill Room is one of the best steakhouses I've been too.

I've got family near Charlotte but I've never been.

I've always wondered about the states in the Great Plains and north. There have got to be a few large Big Ten/Big12 schools in close proximity to them.

Oklahoma City seems untouched for a relatively large city.

I too, have heard good things about Iowa City. One of my friends is a travelling DJ and he says they have the best bars in the country for partying. It sounds like a good time. I have a friend that lives in Madison, again, I haven't been but he says its awesome as well in terms of drinking, girls, etc.

Food is probably not going to do anything for you in either spot though.

Vancouver isn't in the US but it might as well be seeing its just 30-40 min from the border. Its a great party town with the vibe and food requirements you're looking for.

I also loved Boston.

I know OP said weather is not a factor...but weather is ALWAYS a factor. Granted, I'm biased because I hate the cold, but these cities are all horrible for women. I've actually partied in all of them.

Also, Madison might be 3rd tier. The others are 6th or 7th tier. I'm surprised you didn't throw the WI Dells out there too...

Great suggestion. Mini skirts and high heels all over this hotel. Perfect spot to post up at the bar and let the night come to you.

It's also walking distance to bars that are packed with beautiful women, even on off nights.

I would prefer warmer weather but that's opening another can of worms. My criteria for the trip is already complicated enough.

Denver. Cold, but you might get lucky with weather on a weekend. I was there last winter. Lots of pretty girls that were DTF. Your competition will be extremely weak.

Fun bars and every girl isn't 30lbs overweight like the Upper Midwest.

Easy flight, direct from most cities.

The Dells wouldn't be good in Jan/Feb. It's more year round now with the indoor water parks but nowhere near as busy as summertime.

Summer can be interesting. And, lots of internationals in town on work visas.

Surprised you don't like Madtown. Loads of college trim and a fair number of foreign students.

LAX is full of them too with three colleges in town. I've had to wade through broads to get a drink in downtown bars.

I made a visit lately. Things have changed a bit, but much is still the same.

I been meaning to and should have a full blown data sheet up soon.

I've never been but ever since E-mech posted a map of Ohio with an outlined "poon belt", I've been interested in Ohio. They have lots of pro sports teams and the economy sucks so things like rent and entertainment should be cheap, I wonder what it would be like to spend a month in an Ohio city in the summer?
