I can't believe I'm saying this, as the majority are hambeasts, but there are thin feminists. Years back, I was regularly banging one from the North Shore of Sydney, (a very wealthy area at the time), who told me she'd never cooked a meal in her life. Her family had always eaten out for every meal. Her mother told her the kitchen was simply for preparing food for her 'babies', being her cats and dogs. The idea of cooking was both quaint and alien for her. You can guess who paid for her degree.

She was a beautiful girl, fucked up enough by feminism and privilege to act out by fucking lower class trash like me. I suspect feminism appeals to them because they have zero understanding of how normal people function, both socially and sexually, so don't see how ridiculous the concepts often are.

I wonder if the manosphere overestimate the impact of traditional academic feminism, (this is what a feminist looks like, all men are rapists etc).

To me, the real danger is the women who will say they are feminists but would never, say, march in a violence against women / take back the night walk. Their feminism is about 'empowerment' and 'you go girl!' and being a wage slave and hyper-sexuality regardless of age. Their goal in life is to emulate fantasy, which leads to mentally-instability because simple, boring reality can't and won't ever satisfy them. They don't watch Sex In The City and see the exaggerated fantasy of a television show, but a map for their desired way of life. They actually think fantasy is both attainable, and what they are entitled to.

Indeed. Any university with a women's studies department will give them a voice. Hell, feminism has a voice on the news, in newspapers and magazines( and not just limited to trash like cosmo)

Yeah, I mean, do Lindy West-type views really gain traction in the mainstream zeitgeist? No. Every girl knows it is better to be pretty and thin, although many do not adhere to it, granted. I thought feminists didn't like Lara Croft because she's hot and reinforces the "sexy girl with a gun" stereotype, thereby negating whatever points she gets for being intelligent, strong, and independent. If feminists made their ideal video game character she would be fat and manly to avoid objectifying women and reinforcing oppressive standards of beauty.

What I remember people talking about when Tomb Raider came out was her big polygonal tits, not how she's an empowering female role model. Then again the people I would talk with about it were other 5th grade boys who had never seen a real pair of tits and hadn't discovered internet porn.

I lost a lot of weight a few years ago (back when I had more willpower ) and part of my routine was drinking diet drinks rather than ordinary soda.

I was hungry all the time. Part of that was the limited diet I ate, certainly, but diet soda may have contributed to that.

Diet drinks, according to the study, would indirectly contribute to weight gain - if you are triggered to eat 350 calories by a 0-calorie diet drink, but would have only had a 150-calorie regular soda otherwise, well then obviously then there's a net gain. If you have the 0-calorie soda only despite whatever hunger is triggered, then you are net losing. Whatever the average additional input is, it must be higher than the calorie savings from a 0 calorie drink. If your average input is higher than what your regular soda would be, then yeah, there'll be a gain. If you soldier through it despite your protesting stomach, then there will be no gain.

So, the answer is as always a little unclear.

- realises she's overweight;

- realises people judge overweight people based upon shallow, unexamined stereotypes of ugliness and laziness;

- decides to prove to everyone that their shallow, unexamined stereotypes of her as being ugly and lazy are incorrect and morally wrong, as no-one has the right to think they're better than anyone else;

- decides based upon her shallow, unexamined stereotype of beautiful people as being shallow and dumb that her lack of possessing any signifiers of traditional beauty therefore means she must possess higher intelligence than them, so is therefore better than them;

- decides based upon her shallow, unexamined stereotype of intelligence that smart people usually wear glasses;

- starts wearing attention-seeking glasses to reinforce the shallow, unexamined stereotypes of other people that smart people usually wear glasses;

- strangely, despite ridiculing the fifties and sixties as a time of oppressive patriarchy, picks vintage frames and thrift shop dresses from that era.
