Putin Is On a Roll

He's continuing the crackdown on Islam:

Quote:Quote:

"MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian police rounded up 300 people at a Muslim prayer room in Moscow on Friday after President Vladimir Putin ordered a crackdown on radical Islamists ahead of next year's Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Putin has put security forces on high alert to safeguard the Games in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, which lies near to mainly Muslim southern provinces where Russia is battling an Islamist insurgency that has targeted Moscow.

"We must fight back hard against extremists who, under the banners of radicalism, nationalism and separatism, are trying to split our society," Putin said.

"The policy in the fight against corruption, crime and the insurgency has to be carried out harshly and consistently," Putin told a meeting of security force officers.

"The situation in the North Caucasus should be kept under particular control."

Friday's raid, the third targeting Muslim places of worship in Moscow or St Petersburg this year, led to the detention of 300 people including 170 foreigners and the confiscation of Islamist literature to check for extremist content, Russian news agencies quoted the Federal Security Service (FSB) as saying."

And he's standing strong against the homosexual agenda:

Quote:Quote:

"Washington Times: Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, said on Tuesday that he would support a legislative ban on homosexual foreign couples adopting Russian children.
........

His comments come on the heels of remarks by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, who said over the weekend the parliamentary members were in process of writing proposals to specify only heterosexual couples could adopt Russian children. She also stated that gay marriage was not in line with Russian customs, AFP said."

Putin has his flaws, but unlike most Western leaders he has one great virtue- he is on the side of his own people, of their nation, their culture and their continued existence as a distinct people. And he's unapologetic about it. For those reasons, he is hated by the Western elites, who have adopted an ideology of national and cultural suicide.

Agree. In an age of walking on eggshells and this pathetic, idiotic doctrine of being afraid to offend "sensitive" groups, it's heroic to see someone stand up and draw battle lines.

I can't help but find it ironic that the country where Marxism really first burst onto the scene is leading the charge against Marxism.

I don't know if the western elites hate Putin and if they do, that it is because he's unapologetic for siding with his own people, I think there are more and deeper reasons than those, but if he's cracking down on Islam he's got my vote on this particular issue.

The Russians have seen the horrors of marxism first hand and vow 'never again!'

The west are going to have to learn the hard way.

When I opened this thread I honestly thought this was going to be about Putin divorcing his old pudgy wife. Even better; either way Putin is on a roll. Wish the US could get a leader like this into power. Like him or hate him he is a real Russian partriot.

Can anyone who has been living in Russia confirm this? He arrests a few hundred 'extremists' but is he letting in large numbers of Muslims from the neighboring countries? Things might not be what they seem, for example GW Bush had a fence built on the southern border and sent the National Guard down to patrol it. The thing is the troops were only issued three rounds each for self defense, weren't allowed to detain illegals, and fences aren't needed in the desert when we have infrared equipped UAVs...

He's not even doing anything real extreme. I'm sure all of our grandpas would agree with these 2 choices but it's the younger generations who are little cakes and afraid to piss anyone off. I was at my grandparents the other day and a news segment came on about gays in the Boy Scouts. My grandpa shook his head and said "These queers just wont stop. They're everywhere". I would suggest the question that people in the U.S. and in European countries need to ask themselves is this - why is it that both the left and right are so critical of Putin and the Russian government?

In the U.S. this is indisputable. Libertarians, neo-conservatives, ultra-liberals, progressives, and even socialists are overwhelmingly opposed to Putin. I'm very familiar with the American far left for example, and most actually condemn Putin and his support for the Syrian government - which is the exact same position that American right-wingers in the Weekly Standard, National Review, and Fox News take!

If you can pinpoint the answer to why both sides of the supposed ideological spectrum oppose the current Russian leadership, you will go a long way to understanding the nature of Western politics today. In other words, who make up the real interest group behind both the right and left?

Putin also stole a Superbowl ring from Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, back in '05. Kraft is just now telling the real story.

Quote:Quote:

Kraft explained the incident happened while Sandy Weill and other business execs were in St. Petersburg. “I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, ‘I can kill someone with this ring,’ ” Kraft told the crowd at Carnegie Hall’s Medal of Excellence gala at the Waldorf-Astoria.“I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out.”

I love Russia, and surely more than you do, but I see nothing to be proud of in homophobia, basic anti-islamism and xenophobia.

I'm also certainly not fascinated by a political man who became billionaire during his president's term, in a country where there is 25 millions of people who live way below the poverty line.

You should visit a public hospital in Novokuznestk or in Kirov and see babushas lying on dirty matresses on the floor slowly dying with noone to help to go to toilets or anything, then you will maybe understand that Putin's (and his corrupted clique) outrageous wealth is anything but normal when there is SO many forgotten people in Russia who live MISERABLE lifes. You'll maybe also understand (or not)that there is not reason to glorify this corrupted sucker.

And about the "western elites", you simply use a right-wing populist terminology to justify your homophobic and anti-islamic convictions.

Russia has a long way to go. Barley 15 years ago it was bankrupt with all of its wealth tied up to the top oligarchs. Putin oddly has made the most strides to slowly chip away at the oligarchs power hold but it will take time. You vsnt build a nation in a day, in his 10 years of direct and indirect power he has made great stides he is plulling people out lf poverty vs us here in the West which see people being put into poverty. People like to talk shit on nation building but wont say how they would do things different if given the same circumstances and position.

If your a French man look at your own country and it's own faults. Racism and Islamaphobia is rife in france also. France has even dire demographic prospects than Russia does and that says a lot, France has a brain drain which is sending off talented youth elsewhere, the French dont like "hard work" and are blundering in in-efficancy - look at you own countries faults before casting judgement in Russia. Putin is holding the nation as the most important thing. This type of nationalism is what major nations such as France and the USA did to morph into the giants they are (well IMO ...were).

Your not red pill if your not down with Putin. simple. He represents everything being a alpha rouge means. I don't like everything he does but, I respect what he does, and that is the key. Respect always has the most milelage.

Of course you don't. I see you know all the Cultural Marxist buzzwords that are intended to silence any opposition to the goals of Cultural Marxism. But those words are losing their power to intimidate the public and they damn sure don't intimidate me

Did you get tired of trolling in the suit thread, so now you're moving over to politics?
