Do you have low testosterone?

Do you have low testosterone?

I recently made a blood analysis..and for my 21 years old the results of testosterone were shockingly low....

I workout 4 times per week since 4 years and eat properly.

I was talking with the doctor about if it was normal the results for my age and he said that definitely it wasn't..

He has told me that I can opt to use a TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy),in the form of injections or gel..

I recently did a reseach on the internet and there are lot of guys in the same situation...amazing..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPHeybt7UyE

I'm wondering if there has been relation of my low testosterone to problems I usually have like:
*Anxiety
*Depression(no longer with sometimes episodes).

Because the levels of T in all the analysis were very low.

I can't believe that it can be an identified problem(the fact is that it is a problem):

Same story here.

But there has to be an underlying issue because low test for your age isn't normal.... Did you check your other hormones? Maybe an MRI of the pituitary gland would be useful as well.

Just coming out of left-field here, but could be due to Varicocele, which I'm surprised isn't really mentioned on this board since it's very common in adolescent males and men.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varicocele

If so there are new surgeries which are apparently very successful. The younger one gets it seen to the better.

Can you go into more detail about this?

How did it change you attitude to life, feeling of well being etc?

Was the change instant? how often do you take testosterone?

Tested at 420ng/dl @ 26 years old normal range is 200-1200, I figure im on the low side but not dire. The thing about those ranges is that they are for men from 14-90 years old. A young guy shouldnt be at the lower end of the spectrum.

Is this a number that appears on a routine blood test or do I have to ask my doctor for this specific test?

Pretty sure I have a varicocele. A doc told me I did when I was in high school getting a physical. Never got it checked out again and my testosterone is normal.

Often lethargic, sex drive has decreased recently. My main issue i believe is the fact i lived on soy milk from a child untill about 20 due to a dairy allergy. Drive and killer instinct has always been the drainer for me.

Work out 5 days a week lifting and running and feel ok though...

Need to get tested again.

Question, is one test enough to determine anything? Wouldn't you need multiple tests due to the fact that your t-levels have a lot of variance?

Been through this for many years and tried testosterone therapy. Basically it's not worth it! You get easily get testosterone prescribed and get it up into 900-1200 in about a week. See if you like it. Your body will stop naturally produce testosterone and starts producing estrogen instead. You will develop female tits if you continue using Testosterone. You will also absorb lots of it in your hair follicles and eventually start balding. Your skin will take a hit and you will look much older.
You body makes enough T. There is actually no NORMAL reading....everyone is different.
It's safe though to try it for a week or two.

.
The gyno can easily be avoided with aromatase inhibitors. So your saying a guy with hypogonadism can produce enough T?

Here's a home test kit for $33 on amazon. Includes lab results.

I wonder if this is as reliable as bloodwork at the lab?

I would go onto t nation forum and find a approved specialist in your area.

In the mean time try this protocol for a month.

1. Pumpkin seeds. 2-4 ounces a day. Natures best tonic for the prostate.

2. Carrot cucumber beet juice 10 oz 3 oz 3 oz. 1-3 pints a day. Strong kidney alkalizer. Helps heal damage to bladder, prostate, supra renal glands and other parts directly affected by the kidneys.

3. Wheat germ oil. It contains vitamin e which is essential for Hormone production.

4. Ripe bananas. Eat them like they are going out of style. They are rich in potassium, tryptophan and other nutrients that restore the nervous system and help eliminate impotence. They also contain enzymes that help manufacture sexual hormones.

5. Pick up yoga. Do man poses that promote blood flow to the gonads.

5. Take some good ginseng.

6. Bee pollen. Contains enzymes and other elements that stimulate production of sexual hormones.

7. Don't eat white flour or man made sugar products. Don't drink coffee.

8. Raw oysters. High in Zinc just like pumpkin seeds. Have you tried taking zinc?

*What are your vitamin d levels. Get out in the sun without sun screen or take bio fusion liquid vitamin d drops.

*Have raw sex with healthy young women.

I tested about 300 ng/dl at 20 which is far from optimal. You should be looking at the entire hormonal package though, not just total testosterone.

Quote:Quote:

You often have to ask for it and there are also private labs that do this, just google around.

Quote:Quote:

Your body won't start producing estrogen. Most guys don't even have to run an AI if they are on a TRT dose.

Quote:Quote:

You won't. And even if it did, the benefits of synthetic test far outweigh the negatives if you have low test.

Quote:Quote:

But you said:

Quote:Quote:

Last time I checked guys with naturally normal test levels don't have breasts.

Quote:Quote:

You cannot 'try' TRT for a week or two. You won't even notice the full effect in a week, maybe not even a month.

Quote:Quote:

You need a full sex hormone panel consisting of:
Total Testosterone
Free Testosterone
SHBG
Estradiol (e2)
LH
FSH
And you might wanna test your thyroid hormones as well.

Testosterone fluctuates during the day so it's best to do the test at the same times if you choose to test frequently.

Your routine won't really do anything if your body doesn't produce enough testosterone. Best to see an endocrinologist who specializes in TRT.

Do not worry too much, nowadays many people have low T even at young age even if they do not know it, and it will be worse and worse

http://www.endo-society.org/media/press/...ecline.cfm

in my country (Italy) is a disaster in a recenty study on teen agers almost 50% had some form of testicular disorders

but repeat the exam just in case and follow the guidelines of a good andrologist/endocrinologist

you can follow the guidelines below as general health tips however restore won't reverse severe hypogonadism

How much sleep are you getting?
Do you drink a lot?
Post a sample week of your diet.
Do you have any health conditions like diabetes or hypgonadism?
What is your body fat percentage?
There are many things that can effect test numbers, I would use the trt and I would also work on lifestyle changes.

Go see an endocrinologist and/or urologist that specializes in andrology before you start taking synthetic steroids as the usage has serious implications.

GPs are usually not qualified enough to treat this condition.

Do you have low testosterone?

I have a book for you. I don't know to get it to you but we can work something out. The book is called The Hour Between Wolf and Dog and it is all about testosterone. It focuses on Wall Street traders and explains the biology that is going in their bodies as they undergo risk, have periods of success, and face periods of loss. The form is a RAR file that decompresses to an EPUB doc. Firefox has an add on that will read it straight from the browser. I used an online RAR decompression utility and it worked fine. I am reading the book right now.

There is a tremendous relationship between mood, thoughts, risk, actions, and testosterone. The question might be a chicken or the egg one: Is the depression a function of the low T or is the depression causing the Low T. But the good thing I am finding is that both T production and personality due to T are "plastic" and both will change, your behavior, your personality, and your T level.

Send me a forum message and let me know how to get in touch with you.

I am heavily researching this topic right now and I believe it key and I mean fucking key to tons of stuff. I feel that low T in men is pervasive throughout society and it is causing problems in multiple facets of life but particularly in the relationships between men and women.

You can help us all out by making this kind of a test case. And heavily reporting your journey through this issue.

I would go to T Nation like an above poster suggested, join the forum, and post, specifically state your issue, say who you are, who we are, and then follow the guidance. That site has some of the best endocrine information around. And it has the same spirit as a manosphere forum, men sharing and helping other men.

So let me know how we can work out getting this book to you. I am reading it right now and I find it a very very interesting read. I think you need to read it so you can get the biology and endocrine workings down as a fundamental set of knowledge and then enhance that knowledge over at T nation.

The good thing is that your doctor appears very workable. One of the things the T Nation site says is "fuck doctors. You be your expert. That doctor is there to assist you and do what you tell him, prescribe what you say, set up what tests you need, and work with you. He is just an air conditioner mechanic or another pizza maker and he does what you tell him to or you fire him and get one that will.

So let me know. I would like to work with you and follow what you do with this and the results. I hope to sort of gel all of this together and release some findings to the community.

I know this is gonna sound weird. But you gotta trust me on this. On the Rooshv.com site, he had a recent post about Approach 1 Girl a Day. Read that post and adopt that habit. One approach a day, every day. After you read the book you will understand why doing to leads to higher testosterone. But make it a keystone habit, as Roosh called it, one approach every day. The act of preparing to approach, then approaching, then having some success at it will raise and elevate your testosterone.

And having success will accelerate the raising of the level. Your depression is probably caused by cortisol and testosterone kicks cortisol's ass. Even if you have to approach HB 3s at first. But success with them will cause something called the Winner Effect and leave your levels raised and this slowly affects your personality, and you carry that with you into the next approach, and this Winner's effect is noticeable and was the cause of a ton of studies among different animals where the researchers set up this like "Animal Fight Club". They noted that the winner of one competition statistically won the next competition. And this began to build, as he won, he kept winning, and the level of the class he was beating increased. They measure T levels after the fights and detected a spike in T level that was produced about 45 minutes are the end of the competition. And this level enhanced his ability to think, for muscle growth, and his confidence.

So start approaching now. Trust me on this. Go find that Roosh post and read it. He lists about 10 positive affects in his life from only two keystone habits, approaching 1 girl a day and lifting heavy weight. He is a perfect example of the plasticity of personality and how social competence is hormone driven and will change for the better or the worse as a function of experience and hormone level.

You can beat this. You will beat it. This is going to change your life and you are lucky as hell to find out about this at 21. So help me to help others.
