^ That's pretty much the norm. I would not say you pay not income tax they do "pay income tax" but they receive so much back that its a net gain fro them. Not sure about the USA but in Canada the Gov't won't take shit from you if you make under 15K. They maybe give you anything but they won't take anything from you. If your a single mother... ? In Canada a single mom can get $300 a month per kid, per month. She is not bound to spend it on the kid either she can go shopping with the shit if she wants (and many do). My homie and his girl have 3 kids and won't get married yet because they are using all the perks she gets as being a "single mom" as a means to save up and have a fat downpayment for a home. They have lived together for 6 years now lol. She can stay at home with the kids and just works very little and does school part-time, while he hustles and brings home the bread.

First your employer pays a payroll tax (unless you're a contractor) on top of your gross wages and then you pay an income tax if your gross wages are above the standard deduction. Thus everybody who makes money pays federal taxes, one way or another. The EITC is a partial refund of the payroll taxes to provide incentive for very low wage earners to work. You only get it if you earned income and it's not more than your employer payed in payroll taxes.

With no kids if you make less than $7500/year the government will give you $457. Sounds like a winning strategy to me.

If you go to that page under EIC Table, 2010 it shows that if someone has an income of between $12,550–$16,449 and 2 or 2+ kids they will receive $5,036.

It's down to 60%. They are starting to change it to account for seasonal work. They stipulate you have to take work in your area that pays 80% of your seasonal wage. The Catch 22 is that you are going to be very hard pressed to find 40 hour a week job that makes 80% of one that is 90 hours a week.

They really need to get rid of EI period. There are lots of people from the east coast who come out to work 3 months and then go spend the other 9 on EI. You should only be able to collect as much money as you have put in personally at the very least.

As a kid I experienced the full run of govt services and programs. Govt housing is shitacular, if youre lucky enough to have a place that isnt filled with roaches/bedbugs/godknows what else, none of your appliances will be anything resembling modern. That EBT card will give you just enough to eat, but don't expect great meals around the clock. You're not going to have much money to spare for clothes or transportation.

I will say that govt peanut butter is amazing, I have never had better. The only time being poor was a good thing was when I went to college and got damn near a full ride.

If you want free govt shit either enlist or go to prison. Either one and you get food, clothing, and shelter.

@game theory re: cash under the table in Canada - much easier than in the US. Canada doesn't have "1099s" just "W2s" so its much harder to audit self employment income.

I think you're talking about getting an Obamaphone, food stamps, HEAP ($ for your heating bill), health insurance, section 8 housing and stuff like that. I really doubt you want to live such a mediocre lifestyle, you wouldn't be here otherwise.

The way to get free shit from Obama or any other politician is to be a fundraiser. This actually fits very well into a Game lifestyle. You're basically throwing parties, networking, and socializing. You connect people, businesses, charities and causes to politicians and you raise money for whichever politicians will give you what you want. Party affiliation is only a matter of who is electable in whatever district your concern is in.

Buying a politician is very cheap and they will sell out the country for impossibly low prices. I forget what the maximum yearly direct donation you can give to a politician is ($1500? $3000?) but there's tons of ways around it: you give to PAC's, they have their $15,000 or $30,000 dinners and you buy them for you, your wife, family and friends. You own a business and you "force" all your employees or executives to donate to certain candidates. You also contribute through your friends and family members, you know how passionate 5 year olds are about their politicians.

Look at Jon Corzine, former New Jersey Governor (ruined the state economically) then gambled billions at MF Global and lost (great story of how not to invest, especially when they only hire you to be a well connected figurehead but you think you're the best trader in the building, but what the hell, it wasn't his money he pissed away). He basically stole $1.6 billion from his customers. The guy is a failure and a fraud but a great fundraiser so he is the typical politically connected insider integral to the Ruling Class in America who fails his way up the ladder from one lofty position to another with zero consequences. If I stole $1000 from someone I'd go directly to jail but if you're a fundraiser you can steal a billion and NOTHING HAPPENS TO YOU AT ALL!

Get into your local political machine, start fundraising and contributing, network, get named to civic, corporate and charitable boards, that pay extremely well and have huge benefits (salary for very little actual work, company smartphone, computer, internet, car, meals, travel, health insurance, club memberships, etc...). This is a rich and powerful lifestyle but you have to be a two faced, glad handing backstabber with little to no moral values who talks out of both sides of their mouth and would sell their own grandmother down the river if it gets you ahead. Having deep rooted convictions are a liability in this business.

There's also a ton of top shelf pussy but you have to maintain a squeaky clean image. Can't be getting caught in any type of sex scandals except maybe gay stuff because that's politically correct these days. No young girls, no interns and no employees. Of course you'd be fucking them all but if it comes out (i.e. you aren't smart enough with the hush money) you're "ruined" as in you can no longer be the face of the fundraising machine, you just move into the background and keep doing the same thing.
