Did you get information from the threads here about this being the way to game in FSU? I have not been, so maybe it is way different gaming in the FSU and you did it right, but this is exactly the type of stuff I would not do with a girl.

Well, I didn't know she had a boyfriend..I was under the impression that it was more of a casual thing she had going with some guy.
Furthermore, she asked me questions that indicated more serious interest (do you smoke? do you drink?). She also allowed the hand holding, in the middle of the main street in town...which I thought she wouldn't do if she didn't want to be seen cheating.

I have not met the above girls in person. I am trying to pipeline for a trip that I will be taking in the future. Maybe this year, maybe next, I don't know. But, I have been chatting with them for months. My plans is to develop enough of a comfort level with them so that when I go there it's not as though I am somebody they have just met. We have been friends for a while, I know about their school, their job, their pets, what they like/don't like. Will my strategy work and eventually pan out into bangs? I don't know at this point. It is just an experiment.

First mistake I see from you is the constant need for validation. With jokes, they don't have to be the "Why did the chicken cross the road" type of jokes. I find the best way of bringing humor is to tell a funny story that happened to you. If you cant think of one that happened to you, maybe you know one that happened to your friend and you can tell that. Situation humor is also a good thing. For example, when I was in the kuntskamera (museum of oddities) in St Petersburg they had a bunch of 2 headed babies on display. The woman I was with said how horrible it must be to be born like that and I said to her its not too bad. In my country we have a saying that two heads are better than one. She didn't give you a real kiss and you still texted her saying "it was nice spending the evening with her"? She disses you and then you say it was nice? The SMS was not really a strong move.

In fact, I would never text a girl (that I just started seeing) an SMS like that. I mean, even if we fucked, I still would not say that. That kind of SMS says "I'm a nice guy" and "I like you". You want to keep a girl guessing as whether or not you like her. I mean, you make it clear you want to fuck, but she should wonder if you something deeper than that.
