Interesting service. They also allow you to live stream direct, and are working on a live chat feature (I asked support). It's not cheap but that's expected because of the massive bandwidth live streams use.

Youtube just banned the Killstream - a popular streaming program.






The attack was led by that infamous anti-White WSJ-hire. The issue here is in addition that they attacked a stream where 100% of the 25.000$ proceeds went to a children's cancer hospital. Youtube then decided to refund all the donations, because a bigot's dollar is a bad dollar.

I agree with Metokur in the end. This is the twilight of Youtube and all big social media sites. They will first shut down monetization for anyone to the right of Stalin and then they will continuously chip away at everyone until every dissenting voice is gone. Mysteriously the "intellectual Dark Web" will be unaffected by it, but everyone even slightly to right is on the chopping block.

And you gotta realize this - they will come first for the money, then the full accounts on the big sites. Then they will come for the own sites, Infowars, RVF, even private blogs and sites will go off-line - probably worldwide. Then and only then will they be satisfied. In the future maybe the gulags will return. So gulp up the alternative viewpoints boys - you can tell your kids and grandkids about the old times where everyone was allowed to say almost anything on the net.

It sounds like some drama went down in the discord server, I logged in for a few minutes yesterday and there were already SJWs bitching about some channels with "forbidden" content: some guy reading mein kampf, another one playing songs with the N word in them, etc.

The killstream read out some of the TOS changes from dlive. It was poor move on dlive's part as it gave everyone that was running from youtube to avoid dlive for using similar language. To avoid the issue with gab, any alternative service should have some ground rules for basic decorum and handling any slant made by trolls or idiots. Problem right now is all the edgy stuff to trigger the snowflakes and SJWs are becoming annoying for many people and give the left ammo to kill any service with that content.

They fucked up bad, killstream brought them thousands of new users and they just ended it overnight because of some whiny SJWs:

It wasn't all about their discord drama and the new guidelines for behavior they were pushing, DLive had serious tech problems too. You can't really blame them for that, scaling up from a few dozen live casters with a maximum of 25 viewers each to a big whale stream with over 7000 watching live is not easy or cheap.

I already signed up for stream.me and set up castr.io to mirror my stuff on their system.

   

It isn't just whiny SJWs, but also malicious people. I know the tactic of planting extreme idiots to do dumb shit is both so overused and so effective it produces me raw disgust. They have used it in real life, they used it in Reddit, in Youtube, in DLive and so on. The fact that as soon as DLive started to get used led to idiots rushing in to recite MeinKampf is not a coincidence but a well-tested tactic.


This also got me thinking about the search of live streaming services: what are the drawbacks of using a web service ran by companies outside the US? Via a service by Yandex or Tencent for example. It seems that they already solved the reliability and are quite resilient about left-wing american pressure, so what would be holding them back?

Your best bet with YT right now is to livestream with OBS recording on, delete the YT archive immediately when you're done, and only use Streamlabs for donations, turn off superchats. Upload the archive on an alternate channel of a friend (this is exactly what the weekly sweat does).

Streamlabs I assume will eventually fall too since they'll get payment processing yanked, or will be threatened to and have to kick them off.
