Just curious, lrelands out cause it only takes two hours so what's the benchmark?

Here l was thinking size doesn't matter on roosh v forum. How wrong l was with my two hour drive.

I think Chile counts as a country, because the drive from end to end is a multi-day affair, even in you can drive from side to side in about 20 minutes. As you've mentioned, obviously, Ireland isn't a real country and should simply belong to the UK.

Panama is also not a real country and should have never been given independence. The US should never have withdrawn their troops.

Singapore gets a pass, because it has used its tiny nation-state status to accomplish more than just clan-wars where no one even remembers what they are fighting for and some of the women there are actually attractive.

Meh. My friends and I drove from Dublin to Cork once and it took more than 2 hours. Well, there was an accident and I tried to save the life of a post man who was hit by a car while I was extremely hungover from Jameson's the night before, but the drive was a horror, mainly because my friend that was driving kept forgetting to drive on the opposite side of the road and went headlong into traffic every 15-20 minutes.

I'd say Ireland is a country. If it wasn't, I'd have no heritage. Even though the Irish bitch about Irish Americans as not being Irish enough, yet will accept Africans and Middle Easterners as "Irish." Kinda weird.

I think you need a few more metrics to determine whether a country is a real country or not.

For example, do the people from that "country" actually want to live there or are most of the Irish people in the world actually living in other countries?

If you take numbers who identify as lrish v living in lreland its way scewed towards expats, so we are on course to take over the world eventually

It's only a real country if you can't drive across the entirety of it. Example: Panama from north to south, or vice versa.

I recall many years ago on another forum having to advise a prospective American tourist that in Australia, Cairns to Sydney would not be a quick day trip by car.

More akin to a New York to Florida trip.

& Cairns to Sydney is only part of the east coast. Still plenty more when headed westward...

We have the same problem in Canada with European visitors wanting to do a quick day trip to BC while visiting Ontario. They have a hard time comprehending that it would actually take less time to travel to the moon than halfway across our glorious country.
