San Francisco State, though.
There are probably some awesome departments there, but IIRC SF State is barely a step above a junior college.
I had a friend who took some classes there in his forties, and the level of discussion gave him fits.
Teacher: What did you think of the book.
Silence.
Teacher: Anyone?
Student: It was weird.
Rest of Students: Yeah, it was weird.
So in some ways, a school like this is a continuation of high school, a lot of kids going there to get their parents out of their hair.
All the usual high school stuff going on.
To me, this one reads as a natural bully seeking out a natural victim, the hair being only pretext.
I'm not even a bully, but watching that fake rapper way that guy moved his arms and body made me want to smack him on the back of the head.
That girl seemed like nothing more than a bully with a little bit of sophistication, harassing someone with rationalizations already built in to her actions.
Not a lot of studying going on for a lot of the students at schools like this. They have all the time in the world to torture each other for kicks.
(Also, and I am no expert on female body language, but it seemed like she was kind of flirting with him, and if he could have been a little stronger, it could have ended different. Depends if you interpret her smile, when she started to follow him, as somewhat playful or totally scornful.)
Seemed pretty mild for bullying.
