How much do you guys drink? I have cut down alot, hoping that it will improve my mood. Currently on 2-3 bottles of beer per night out, down from 3-4 pints.

I have a high tolerance which is a blessing and a curse. When money is not tight I can go shot for shot with anybody in the bar and not feel it. Of course this gets costly, I pre-up always now and slam back about 5 tallboys before I head out. This amount gives me a great buzz, at the bar I will get 2 drinks max.

Zero to two if I'm driving, one or two more if I'm not. Would probably drink more for a local house party.

On dates now, at least for the first round, I seat the girl and then go to the bar and get cocktails, and my cocktail is a rum and coke, minus the rum. Or a gin-less G&T. Save a few bucks, and keeps my game sharp, because I'll still be having 2-4 drinks besides.

Depends , I try to stop or controle my alcool consomation now . When I start , I cannot stop . It's like water for me .

When I'm just at the bar to chill with my friends ill have like 3 beers and a few shots.

I drank way too much this past Friday. I have no idea how much I had but my back was killing me. I woke up on the floor and decided its time to cut back. I havnt had a drink in two days!

i don't drink. if my friends insist on buying drinks for me i tell them to get me a pepsi.
when it comes to taking girls out i avoid bars and do the whole action / activity date thing.

If I had to guess, I would say a typical night consists of:

1-3 glasses of red (warm up) and

5-10 cocktails

Maybe more. If I am at the Racetrack, it can be vastly more, but that is over a 12 hour period.

Yeah, but the older we get the worse off we are afterwards. Last night was the first time I drank in months, and went for broke. I've been holed up in the hotel in recovering. So, to recap the night:

Lost bank card
$400 bar tab
1/2 litre of Jameson
6 Heinekens
2 manky African hookers (free)...although they hit the minibar and ordered everything off the room service menu.
Lost 1 day to recovery

I'd say I learned a lesson and wouldn't do it again, but then I'd be lying.

I either don't drink at all, or I drink a lot.

I believe that within every man's DNA there is an allowance for a type of alcohol. I know a girl who can take shots of clean tequila and wake up fine the next morning. She's Latina. If she drank Vodka, she'd be out.

I take 3-5 vodka shots being going out. I chase the vodka shots with vodka soda.

I then have another 3-5 vodka sodas.

I wake up in the morning feeling great.

I also do well with Gin.

I do well with high end tequilas, like Milagro. I used to think that different alcohol having effects on people was a myth. But since the introduction of Jager, I know now it's true, unfortunately. I've lost more pussy because of Jager than most guys will see all their lives.

I was hurting so bad today, I drank a beer about 1430 to straighten, then puked it up. It's been years since I barfed the next day. Definitely got it out of my system though.

Generally though, mixing anything up leaves most of us sloppy, and worse for wear the following day.

So much I couldn't tell you a number but I frequently wake up (always back home / where I should be) with little to no memory of the night. I black out so easily. When I ask people the next day what I got up to they tend to tell me I seemed OK and not even that drunk, just normal. It worries me but seems I rarely do anything too crazy I just can't remember any of it.

For me, one is too many and a dozen isn't enough. Perfect example of this was Saturday night, I wanted to take it easy, but then we went to a bar that had two for one cocktails, needless to say, Sunday morning was a rough one!

I'm in a country with some of the cheapest alcohol prices in the world, but i'm still not a big drinker, I prefer to concentrate on fitness.

I rarely drink at home, if I go out on schoolnights then I wont drink more than 3 beers/wines.

On weekends I go a bit more crazy, maybe 3 beers in a bar, then 4-5 large vodkas and mixers in a club afterwards. I don't like getting too drunk anymore, otherwise I will be like the Ukrainian men, and girls don't want that.

Plus I get sick the next day very easy, if that happens I miss meals, and miss the gym. This makes the festivities of the previous night not worth it at all

Haha Scotian i'm exacly like you . Saturday night happen the same thing and I had the objective to cool down in my consommation of alcool in the last few week but, unfortunetely I had a slip .
The thing is if i'm alone , I don't drink , if i'm with friend I'm cut, I will drink till the end of the night and doing stupid things all night long . Before I had more control on me when I was on the influence of the alcool . Now I don't have any and just don't think of the consequence of my acts and being too much on the present . I can take a flight to paris or fuck an ex girlfriend from one of my boy , I'm down to anything . I'm really in a dilema , I have to be alone during the week end and be sober or drunk with the boys and the days after have to deal with mistakes and remords .

You know, I was just thinking that a year or two ago, I could drink my face off, be plastered yet functional, and wake up the next morning with a minor headache, get a glass of water, a meal, and an aspirin, and be good to go an hour later.

These days, I drink even less than I used to, and now I get absolutely inebriated, and always wake up with a horrendous hangover and lose a day to recovery. I'm only 25! Has this happened to anyone else?

I mean, maybe it's a blessing, as I drink much less these days, but it'd be good to know that if my boss decides he wants to get everyone shitfaced, I can hang without regretting it later.

The crazy thing is in the crew I rolled with, I was somewhere in the middle. Maybe below middle.

Then again, I would put big money on No.1 guy in our crew VS anyone in America.

I try to go out on an empty-ish stomach so it only takes 2-3 drinks to get me pretty happy.

On a weekend night, about 12-15 ounces of vodka. I get a decent buzz, but I don't get drunk. I drink it straight with ice. What's great about vodka straight is that you don't need to use the bathroom often.

Usually 2 cocktails (dark rum or vodka) if I feel like drinking. Sometimes I'll go out on a fat shot of 151 and lime juice as my only for the night...

I'm much more comfortable smoking one spliff before going out, and one in the cigarette box for later.

Yeah, I think it really comes down to the time frame.

2 drinks an hour is very reasonable.

I am usually solidly above that, but it is usually front loaded ie the first hour I fire down 4 or 5, then tapers off.

End of the night I may be around 1 cocktail an hour. Maybe two.

I get where I need to be, then it's all about Buzz Maintenance™ and Buzz Optimization™.

Sometime after I hit 40, I capitulated and admitted that I could not handle the alcohol, so I quit, after drinking for 25 years. At times it can be tough, especially if I am with a girl who is imbibing, and she is shoving her bottle of Smirinoff Ice in my face, pleading with me to take "just one sip."

The problem is that one sip with return me to the abyss.

The benefits of not drinking:

-Wake up every day sober and refreshed
-Better sex drive
-Spend no money on alcohol
-Quitting drugs is a natural progression
-You will lose extra fat effortlessly
-Better temperament
-Cerebral motivation; hobbies like reading, learning languages becomes easier and more enjoyable


Disadvantages of not drinking:

-Night game can be arduous, when everyone around you is drinking. Also harder to galvanize to go out.
-People think something is wrong with you if you don't drink.

Since I quit drinking three years ago, I have more energy, my body looks better, sex drive is off the hook, and my overall mood had improved.
