How thirsty are men?

How thirsty are men?

Part of the problem fueling the thirst is that the culture displays sex as something that's as prevalent as air, but the average man considers it more akin to gold buried under miles of earth.

Thots abound in society, and men know this, but they're out of reach for all but the very apex predators. Seeing these common sluts every day tantalizes men, but like that famous inhabitant of Tartarus, when they go for it, it slips out of reach.

These men, lacking any other options, will find some disgusting woman who's bringing a decade or so of baggage along for the ride and think he's found a prize.

I've personally known women who between dating apps, kik, snapchat, facebook messenger, imessage/SMS text, on average, wake up to close to 1k "new conversations". Bumble has the "beeline" (shows how many already liked you) which itself shows up as 100+ for example. These women are usually better than average, but nothing out of this world either.

I am convinced it's more a problem of ratio than anything else.

I knew women got hit on a lot online, but I didn't know it was that bad.

I remember this one chick and on our first date she mentioned she had 500+ unread text messages from thirsty guys. I always assumed that was 500+ messages collected over the span of several months.

Now I'm wondering if it was just for the day...

I've seen over 50 new messages a day for a range of girls. Realistically, even if 1k is an exaggeration or one off, 50 is still a big number.

Imagine if you got 50 messages as a guy. It's impossible to juggle. I know if I have more than 5 I can't keep up. I just end up sending "Yeah" as an answer to a few of them.

One thing I do find funny, is that I hear guys say all the time: "I can never get the 8's or 9's to talk to me on Tinder" - And I'm like: "Dude, you can just talk to one when you see them in public"... The look of bemusement on their faces never ceases to amaze me.

I know a 35 year old girl who is skinny and 5'10 with no kids. She gets 50 plus messages a day.

It's easy to infer this indirectly.

For instance, last night I had an OK Cupid match with someone who looked brand new to the site, and maybe online dating in general. You know the drill. Just one grainy photo and no main profile and only a few (non-sexual) Q&As filled in. So I get far enough to determine that no, she's actually NOT a bot. But then the conversation eventually trails off around dinner-time where I get a "That's nice."

I know exactly what's going on here. She is inexperienced with online dating, swiped me prematurely, and now she's realizing how many options she REALLY has, and is dropping me like a hot potato.

It's not the first time I've had this sort of interaction. If you don't rope her in when she's a newbie she will quickly realize that she's a kid in a candy store and your seemingly deep conversation won't be worth jack shit.

Now, mind you, I have a fully fleshed out profile with tons of Q&As filled out, and she's got almost nothing but her grainy photo, but the male thirst makes it so she never has to lift a finger to really convey who the heck she is. She'll still get tons of likes if she's at least a 5.

The explanation is simple; guys are ugly.

Compare pictures of men next to women, and even the 10/10 guys don't come close to the 8/10 women in terms of sex appeal -- no wonder female models make 10 times what male models make. Furthermore, the amount of attractive guys is much much lower than the amount of attractive women. The top 20% of men are as attractive as the top 80% of women.

In an egalitarian society were women have all their survival needs met, a man can really give her three things; his looks; excitement and entertainment; and on the long term, emotional support.

So many men have nothing to give - they're ugly - uninteresting - and too beta to give emotional support.

It all makes perfect sense.

I totally disagree with this. In fact, it flies directly in the face of what everyone in this forum knows, particularly in the West (and that's where the problem is).

Your thinking on this topic is totally wrong to begin with. Why would you compare "sex appeal" of men and women as if it's the same thing? It's an incoherent idea to start.

Men are ugly? Yet women use makeup.
Men can only give 3 things? Women barely give 1 at this point.

1k is easily possible when everything is combined, in the US at least given a woman is a 5 minimum & in decent shape.

Thirst is real because the sad truth is that most men (2 out of 3 to be exact) are not willing to follow the principles of neomasculinity and emphasize on the self for the following reasons:

Not smart enough, too lazy, too arrogant, too proud, not willing to adapt/change, are fatalistic, etc.

Tangible reality never lies. There is simply no lasting unfairness in the world, things always have a justifiable reason.

A woman is biologically much more valuable than a man and there is nothing you can do about it. Men have to earn value, women are inherently valuable just for having a vagina. Moreover, everything a man could provide a woman in the past is now provided by the government; women don't need men as providers and protectors in the West; they need them as lovers, and in the long run as emotional support. Of course if you're famous you provide even more excitement.

Physical sex appeal is universal--women get turned on by seeing other women--they are sexy to everyone but fags. Why do you think the best looking men look like women facially? There is one type of beauty and that's feminine beauty; accept it.

Game makes you interesting and exciting, so at least you have that to give in exchange for her pussy, and beauty that is superior to yours. Good looking guys get easy sex because it's an equal exchange right of the bat, they don't have to provide any extra value because they're not getting any extra value. The simple law of equal exchange.

There are some men who think the only game that matters is game, this is a big reason why thirst is so prevalent.

I hope Roosh does a whole podcast on why direct day game is the worst thing.

I think it's always important to prefix the word value with biological here. That is because people equate biological value with self-esteem. If you spend your entire life chasing "biological" value then you're basically no better than a teenager. That's not to say men or women shouldn't have physical standards, only that at the end of the day, the value of a human's life, start to finish, should not be calculated solely on "biological value".

For instance, how many articles are in this forum talking about how empty the brains of bimbos are, how worthless they are for anything other than sex? Biological value = 100%. Other value 0%.

Since we can only use what nature's dealt us, it's best for a man's primary mission to be something he has the most direct control over, in which an ounce of effort is equated to an ounce of return rather than getting judged on some mathematical ratio like how far your eyes are apart or your shoulder to waist ratio.

The problem with "male thirst", at least how it's expressed online, is that people seem to be stuck in an extended adolescence online. Everything is basically a bunch of horny deer with hardons circling around female deer in estrus. There's a lack of awareness, at least on Facebook, that everyone's real identity is hanging out there and if someone were to dox them and compile their catcalling it would paint a portrait of a raging loser with no social graces whatsoever.

This is even worse on Youtube where it's become fashionable to signal you liked something (even nonsexual) by saying "I came!"

It seems now guys online are always cumming or about to cum, and almost always because they're reacting to what they see rather than actually interacting with women in real life. And guys lack the self-awareness to know how pathetic this appears to women. They think it's hip and woke and edgy when they really come across as chronic masturbators.

That's male culture circa 2018. It's considered "charming" to tell everyone you're jizzing in your pants, figuratively or literally, that flattery will get them somewhere.

It's a far cry from the alpha ideal of the most interesting man in the world, that's for sure.

The most interesting man became interesting because he was out there building a life for himself and not laying catcalling comments under Instagram THOTs.

Some interesting points.

The average woman has a much higher "start value" than the average man. That cannot be disputed, as it's glaringly obvious. Think of in the olympics in a sport like diving, in which scoring requires a panel of judges. The "start value" determines the difficulty (in terms of points awarded) before the dive itself takes place.

I know a near-wall 7 woman who gets 1400 likes from Happn. I remember the other day I got into my cousin's phone and took a look at her tinder, there were like 120 matches. My best fuck so far - a crazy 7.5 I met from tinder- told me she usually gets 150 matches a week and response to guess what, nearly none. Thirst is real, everywhere. Tweak your game folks.

Going back 8-9 years or so, I recall a woman's first update to her dating profile, which had been up only a few days, was a plea for guys to bear with her as she had several hundred replies to sort through.

Dude this shit happens to me all the time too lol. I can get a girl pretty interested for a couple hours but once she starts getting bombarded with messages it eventually fizzles out with her responding very slow or not at all, the convo goes stale, and you are then ignored as a stale convo. And if I try to bounce them to text/phone early knowing this it comes across as needy. It's a maddening balancing act you have to play.

One of the funniest (but also pathetic) acts of thirst are the Indian/Pakistani/Turkish men on Instagram commenting below girls pictures. This way they are getting a (false) confidence boost they shouldn't be getting.

@Kosko

Yup, that's what happens when you get out of your ego and into total abstraction -- you figure out shit you're not supposed to. But it's true, the evidence is ample. Men evolved to be smart, women to be beautiful.

Most men are ugly when compared to women.

Most women are dumb when compared to men.

If a society gets wealthy enough where the superior intelligence of an average man becomes redundant, then this is what happens to the dating market.
