Sold 12 more of my niche sites to my buddy in Oslo. Last minute deal of 24K total for everything. Could have gotten more, but really wanted to be done with them
Last year I sold a few on Flippa which was a shitty experience. Just try to do business with real people that you know. It should feel effortless
Back to the basics now

Does anyone have any recommmendations for some invoicing software or an app or something like that.
I need something that will generate a receipt for the client after they have made their purchase and then if it could generate an email to the customer to go with it that would be even better.
Anyone know of anything like that?
Ps. To all the rvf entrepreneurs, keep at it. The road you've chosen is hard but sometimes you have to chose to do the hard thing.
I use Freshbooks. Love it.
Thank you for this

Hey fellas,
Need advice on how to start an OCR tech company in my home country. I have a business but no tech background, I have been brainstorming about this idea for a few days now highlighting different challenges with security, human resource, cloud computing, VPN and scaling this to a viable project.
Anyone with experience doing this sort of thing with a few pointers.
Thanks

Recommend a book on webdesign, not the technical, but the design aspect? All that basic stuff you'd learn in a design course, size, color, font, etc.

Hi all
I want to boost the number of people that 'like' my business home page of Facebook. Currently it's only about 160 or so which looks pretty amateur.
Anyone can point me in the right direction?
Thanks

So late last month I pitched a couple VCs for the seed funding of a project I have been bootstrapping for the last 6 months or so. Got a bit of interest, but the primary feedback was that I needed some customer data/pre-sales.
This week, I start reaching out and talking to the marketing directors of massive multinational companies, to try to pitch them/get their feedback.
New things!

I'm getting ready to start a new venture (preparing, actually getting rolling in 2018) and I'm feeling nervous and jumpity for some odd reason.
I can talk fine to CIOs of 10,000 person organizations fine on the phone and sell to them...but its odd this makes me nervous.

The frustrating thing about being self-employed is so much is still dependent on other people and them either buying your product or agreeing with your point of view.
It's not like running a marathon or weightlifting where your ambition is directly in your hands. You can't force clients to agree with you or move at your speed it sucks. So many men who make decisions are older with families and well-off to the point where they don't act with a sense of urgency or expediency it's frustrating as fuck.
For example, I guarantee anyone trying to get anything done Nov.18-30th will take twice as long simply because the cocksucker you're trying to do business with is going to be mentally checked out due to some family event or some shit. I hate it. Ultimately you can only move as fast as your clients can mentally accept.
The world changes fast as fuck and some of the older guys who run companies you'll deal with have already 'made it' and don't share your urgency.

What's your take on the blighted / depopulating areas of the midwest? Any hope?

It absolutely drives me nuts dealing with people like this.
It recently took a MONTH to get an answer out of someone for a hotel I wanted to book. I'm literally trying to give this guy money and it takes a FUCKING MONTH for him to get back to me (and say no).
It's because mostly the gatekeepers for this kind if things are employees. They have an employee mindset that doesn't match ours entrepreneurial one. Double that up with your own red pill mindset and it's enough to drive you crazy.
It's very hard to find likeminded people to do business with.

Temporarily - you can buy followers on Fiverr, just for glamour purposes, but people will see through your shit since you'll have zero engagement.
Long term, run brand awareness/lead generation ads (depends on your biz) to get new clients. As a by product of new business they'll click through to your page, and if you have consistently good content, they'll like your page and stick around.
You can run ads to people who like your page as lead nurturing process too.
Thanks for the info. In your opinion, it's better to grow this kind of thing organically?

Although the NW suburbs of Chicago are booming and developing steadily, inner cities sides are also developing with gentrification and crime/drug associated events are fading away, I wouldn't invest in any of those depopulating areas.
No hope in the near future. Maybe in 5 ~ 10 years where ghetto areas are wiped out and they become "clean". Kind of like Brooklyn in NY.
Nevertheless, there are so many opportunities, the pricing of houses have been going up a lot last 10 years. If you have purchased any of houses you would have made decent amount of money in Chicago.
I am not Grant Cardone or Stephen Ross who are geniuses in real estate, but I can see so many opportunities that I missed and people are missing. It's there. It's apparently there. I wish I had more money to invest.
