At least you have some higher education experience... and employers here absolutely love that. You scenario is not ideal... but with the right amount of charisma, I see you lending a temp job that might pay your bills. Also, start moving your bank account money into cash.
DON'T do it all at once! Couples of hundreds here and there per weeks until your balance is below $500. By doing so, right after you come here... you'll be eligible for welfare income of $650 per month... which would pay for your living expenses. Doing this is a must! Don't feel too bad about raping the system: once you'll start working here... and see how cold some mofos are... you'll be even! Good luck Homey

I have another Question, what are the best websites to use when searching for a place?? Since here in Montreal Kijiji and craigslist have pretty much been anyone's go-to when searching for a place to rent, however, when I used them to search for rooms in the Toronto I found the number of ads very low... a lot without pictures too. I was told bunz is good but I would prefer to use multiple sources, any recommendations? I'm also planning to go visit places and areas on foot once I'm there but I'd like to get an idea first from online ads.

Awesome idea, was just telling my friend here the same thing. He's also looking to rent in MTL for the summer.
I definitely need to buy you a drink once I'm there for all the help.

Good Luck Rekk'd. Toronto is more expensive but thats the price to get in a better city than yours now.
At least there , the city is more modern , more opportunities, salary are higher , also you will not see that cockfest and the bitchy spoiled womens that you see in MTL every weekend.
MTL is for hipster lifestyle , Toronto is a modern city for people with good carrer.
Pay more to get better life. Hope i will follow you soon.
