How to Phase out Gaming
04-11-2017, 09:29 AM
God forbid, I might actually settle down sometime in the future, and perhaps not game anymore.
Most of my contacts these days are from game or my work. I am having trouble imaging life without doing pickup.
Has anyone successfully or unsuccessfully tried to give up gaming for an LTR?
Perhaps it should be a lifetime pursuit.....
Cheers!

I think what you are really asking is how to phase out banging other chicks.
You won't necessarily phase out game when you get settled down. And you would not want to.

The simple thing is to just quit messaging girls. Delete your apps, and let your messaging die off completely. Thats where I failed in my last LTR. Call me old school but I am a one woman guy if I pledge exclusivity. This is harder than it seems, after years of constant messaging and texting. You might want to practice when you are solo to get used to the feeling of not chasing lots of girls, all the time.
On the other hand, you'll never let go of being a charmer. Keep up the daily banter with women. Chat them up, without the direct approach. You're a kept player now, but that doesn't kill your playful charming vibe everyday. The moment you let go of that, you are in a prison cell. Then you're miserable. Then you start messaging other girls, etc etc.

You can only phase out sleeping around.
You can't phase out "gaming". Post marriage my "gaming" has had to increase exponentially as I turn my focus towards money....which requires building sales skills and fully utilizing all those same "game" skills in a different context. You know how you learned to keep a girl interested as she rambles on about friend drama you don't care about? Same way with "networking" and sports for me.

Hard to do - when I was single, I promised to myself that I would stop sleeping around when I got a virgin girlfriend.
When I got my girlfriend, I promised to myself that I would stop sleeping around when we would get engaged.
When we got engaged, I promised to myself that I would stop sleeping around when we would get married.
When we got married, I promised to myself that I would stop sleeping around when she would be pregnant.
She's now pregnant, and I promised to myself that I would stop sleeping around when the kid is born.
See where this is going?
Anyway deleting your apps will work, but you're likely to run into someone via daygame like I did several times, so in short, you can limit it, but quitting completely would be almost impossible.

It's pretty simple...Use the skills you learned from picking up chicks to find a quality girl who's good enough in bed to keep you satisfied. Learning game helps a LOT in terms of both finding a quality and exercising the proper frame control with her.
If you don't have that, game on. Life is always better when you're getting laid.
But as others have said, the game never really ends.

Do you want to give up gaming, or do you feel compelled to?
Remember, lots of things happen within an LTR and it's not all roses. And chicks in LTRs usually don't cut off contact with other guys. Beware.
I'd understand if a guy was motivated by an impending engagement or the nuptials. But doing it without a justifiable context? Why. Gaming success is one of life's pleasures
