I wanna rock my custom suit, but...
01-14-2012, 07:42 PM
Months ago I got a Custom Suit made for myself, it's hella baddass.
However, I have not used it yet, because I just don't know where to. I'm only 21 years old and I have that feeling that CSs are for older-people venues?
Having recently read G's post on the pocket squares makes me even more excited, I want to test the power that CS + pocket square has to pull quality ass, adding my game of course.
I've seen dudes rocking a suit in places where its very casual, and the dude always gets the weird looks and comments, I haven't seen how the girls actually react to it though.
Any help?

Only place I'd feel weird is a dive bar. I know G himself reps up HOTEL bars as a great place to roll suited and booted.

Not sure what city your in but hit up some charity functions.
Yes many cost money but if you contact the person putting on the charity function and say "you always enjoyed X charity and would like to spend sometime with like minded people and can only make a X donation for the ticket"
You will have to call more than one charity.
Custom suits KILL at charity function and almost there is always an after party at a lounge or a fully rented club.
Also consider your local chamber of commerce monthly event, I am ways able to pull a Pharm. sales rep, real estate agent or wealth manager( code of insurance sales woman at a bank) at one of those. Also you can get your name out in the local business community.

Yeah the charity thing is a great idea for a 21 year old. I would also target charity events put on by the "Junior" group, “Young” group, or the “Early professional” group. Those things are full of 24 year old chicks that might like his style. I go to a lot of these for work, so make sure to avoid the 50+ year old crowd with the money that all charities want. The "Junior" crowd does it more to play dress up than raise cash. Check out Modern Luxury's Charity and Social issue in your town; the bonus is there are pictures of past events (i.e. women) so you'll know exactly what will be there.
If you're already in a custom suit at 21, you can probably afford the events. But if not, don't worry. The great thing about high end suits is that they're an All-Access Pass to wherever you want to go. Go to any non-seated event about an hour late, and just walk in (women will be buzzed and chattier anyway). If your suit is tight, no one will question you because you look like you belong, better dressed than anyone already there. In the rare event anyone asks, you went out to make a call/friend with your ticket didn't show. Works everytime.

So I see theres alot of suggestions regarding the charity events. How do you come by across these events? Newspaper? Online? Im really ignorant and indifferent regarding these type of things.

Plus, for straight up game, try to figure out what industries attend/sponsor the event. I would recommend PR, Design, and Retail. The shallower the industry, the hotter the women. Don't go to Berkley Physicists Against World Hunger.

Someone should make a data sheet for charity events. I've considered doing charity work to help people and also fuck some girls but never a charity event like that.
I don't think any 21 yr old can pull off a suit unless you look a lot older.
