I'm betting it'll be Ted Cruz.

Frank Caliendo, doing his Trump impression, already answered this as Trump:

Cruz is front runner:

Trump names Cruz when asked about VP spot
By Mark Hensch

Donald Trump on Tuesday named Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) when asked about his possible running mate in 2016.

“Ted Cruz is now agreeing with me 100 percent,” he said when asked about his vice presidential pick, according to Lifezette.

“Well, I like him,” Trump told radio host Laura Ingraham during her broadcast. "He’s backed everything I’ve said.”
Unlike most of the Republican presidential hopefuls, Cruz has mostly refrained from attacking Trump, even appearing alongside him at a rally in September against the Iran nuclear deal.

The pair has also struck similar tones on topics such as border security and illegal immigration.

Still, Trump suggested late Monday that he will turn on Cruz if he becomes a threat to his front-runner status.

“If he catches on, I guess we’ll have to go to war,” he told host Joe Kernen on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

Cruz and Trump are also on the same page in opposing President Obama's plan to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees in the U.S. Trump on Tuesday said Germany's decision to accept the refugees is going to "destroy" that country.

“Look what [Angela] Merkel has done in Germany,” he said, citing the German chancellor’s resettlement plan for as many as 800,000 Syrians.

“Taking these people is absolute insanity,” Trump added. "There are going to be riots over there.”

Trump said Obama should worry about defeating the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) first.

“He’s supposed to be a cheerleader for this country, [but] he just acts like a defeated man,” he said.

Take care of those titties for me.

I'd like to see Cruz as VP, and Carson set to overhaul Obamacare.

Carson's been really impressing me as of late, he's been doing a bang-up job of standing up to the media. My only concern with him is that his knowledge is more technical than strategic/leadership oriented.

Cruz has experience dealing with the political process, without being a sold-out cuckservative. If he and Trump worked together they could be a powerful force for returning the rule of law to this country.

If Trump were smart, he would try to recruit Mitt Romney. He's the only one who can unite the base and provide an air of seriousness to Trump. I'm all for Trump, but there are definitely plenty of Independents who are turned off by his smart mouth. Mitt can smooth things over.

Unfortunately I don't think Mitt wants the job, even though it's a hell of a job (preside over the senate and attend state funerals? Sign me up).

I hope it's Condoleezza Rice.

Donald Trump with a black female as VP?

I'm sure democrats will just forfeit halfway through the campaign and try again in 2020.

Not Lena, Not Cruz, Not Rubio and since Trump is big on winners and can't stand losers NOT Romney...

I saw another poster mention in the Donald Trump thread that he thought it might be Carl Icahn or another businessman

At this point in time, I strongly agree with this. A Trump/Icahn ticket would be interesting.

Jeb Bush, just to make sure he doesn't commit suicide. The move will be advertised as "Trump's annual charitable gesture towards the mentally handicapped."

Senator Jeff Sessions, AL is still my first choice.

Governor Greg Abbott, TX is my surging second pick.

It'll be someone from the South to shore up any doubts the Rebs have about a New York Yankee.

Can the US President install generals in roles such as head of national security etc? I always wonder why they place politicians in the roles of military.

Now that's funny!

True fact though: Since 1928, the GOP has not won the presidency without either Richard Nixon or a Bush on the ticket.

Under ordinary circumstances, I would agree with you. However, my thought is that she would be molded by Trump's policies and that she is bombastic and un-pc enough to keep the left on their toes while they and their policies are being chased down and thrown out.

That may have been me and I think this is a strong possibility. If not VP Icahn will have a position in Trumps cabinet... Or Fed Chairman

Palin is the one possible VP that could lead Trump to defeat. No way would he choose her and he will also not choose the rest of the everyday political hacks you mentioned.

I think Trump felt particularly burned by Ted Cruz because he was his initial VP pick.

I agree 100%. Palin is such a bad choice for VP it would be like making a new Star Wars trilogy featuring Jar Jar Binks as the main character.

I would further add that Palin is the one possible VP who would guarantee defeat.

I would think it would be someone along the lines of Jim Webb (southerner, military experience) except for the fact that he's a Democrat.

If only you knew how bad things really are.
