I'm surprised to see some men using a number as a cut off point, no matter what it is, let alone such a low number. There is some truth to what you are saying, but I believe in the West men are conditioned to believe that an older woman has other traits to compensate...such as experience, better conversation, better sex, etc.

The Chinese women that I have seen tend to age very gracefully. Some of them are in their late 30s but look ten years younger.

As others have mentioned, drinking and smoking will make a woman appear to be older than they really are.
