What does this mean?

Tried looking for this in the search thread but I didn't find an answer. Lately, I've been approaching cute girls everywhere, no matter where I am, who I'm with, or how much time I have.
For example, at the grocery store, a taut, petite brunette with a nice rack was open and I went in her lane. I opened with a line about how fast she was scanning items. She immediately mentioned her boyfriend, saying how she has her do it because she's good at it. I tried to overcome but her beta male boss asked her to finish up and come with him.
This happened at the coffee shop as well last week. I mentioned something about her pouring skills and immediately responded with something about her BF having her pour his.
These lines have gotten me numbers before. They are both pleasant and seemingly flirtatious in responding but it's immediate with the BF. I know it comes up and I've had moderate success overcoming that, but lately it seems as soon I start chatting the BF response comes out. Have you come across this, or I am just late to the game?

You can't bat 100%. Nobody can. Keep approaching.

She's doing you a huge favor. This way, you know to move on. Would you rather she give you her number being polite and you waste time calling and texting her only to have her flake in one way or another? I don't know if O.P. is a troll, but this is actually a pretty important topic.
Places where this is more likely to happen in my experience:
D.C.
The South
The Midwest
Mexico
Places where it is less likely to happen:
Southern California
Las Vegas
Colombia
Argentina
New York/New Jersey
Coincidentally, which group of places tends to have better girls?

Yep, keep approaching until you find a girl who is receptive to your game. If one (or ten) girls are rejecting you immediately, try a different girl. If you keep pressing, you will just fuck up your frame and let it ruin your day. Don't do that.

Some of the best advice I read here is to ignore the BF line and keep going like she never said it. You're probably not gonna get their number in this circumstance (well you never know) so just forget about that and have a normal conversation. You're probably only going to be talking to them for a few seconds longer anyway, so no harm in being friendly. Being social in any situation is a good skill to have.
"Your coffee pouring skills are great"
"Thanks, my BF has me pour his"
"You must tell me where you learned your skills, I want to be as good as you one day"
"You scan items so quickly"
"My BF says I'm good at it"
"But would you catch me if I tried to sneak something by you?"

Im with Merenguero on this one. There seems to be another camp who says the BF line is just shit test and you must plow through it, but Im skeptical of the success rate. Or you need advanced game.
My take: why waste time on girls who make your job more difficult since the very first words?
That and not sure if you are hitting up the right targets. Kudos on day game approaching, but approaching girls already at the cashier is worse than when she's browsing the aisles. Baristas and bartenders are advance game since they got hit on all the time.
Try bookstores or girls queuing in line for coffee.
