Natural ways to boost Testosterone?

@ Dre: what's your dosage and how much do you pay per month? Did you go to a clinic?

Here in Europe, we don’t have anti-aging clinics. There are only very few doctors that specialize in HRT and anti-aging and they get a lot of flak from other doctors, big pharma and the media for prescribing treatments that are unproven, unsafe, ineffective and too expensive. I went to such a doctor.

There are three parts to the cost: the consultations, the blood panels and the actual hormones.

Once my treatment will be dialed in, my doctor requests a comprehensive blood panel and a consultation every 6-9 months. The consultation costs 165 euros, the blood panel costs approximately 250 euros (this includes all hormones, liver and kidney function, vitamin and mineral levels, blood lipid profile, red and white blood cell count and composition, psa, …).

As for the hormones, I am on:
-1g of 10% test gel a day. This means I apply 100 mg of test to my skin, of which approximately 10% is absorbed. The gel is made by a compounding pharmacy and costs around 30 euros a month. I absorb it well, it doesn’t raise my e2 and it’s not too expensive so I don’t see a reason for the moment to change to injections. Based on my most recent blood panel, I will probably lower the dosage.
-50 mg of pregnenolone a day. I take capsules that are made by a compounding pharmacy. Price is around 50 euros a month.
-90 mg of DHEA a day. Also as capsules, made by the same compounding pharmacy. Also costs around 50 euros a month.

On top of that I also take magnesium, zinc, vitamin D and iodine.

Where do you guys get your T Levels tested? I have been using Direct Labs for the past three or four years. I think they are running a Father's Day special right now on T test (I think just total, not total and free).

It's great to see the gels working for you. Can I ask why you are taking pregnenolone and DHEA along with the T?

This report at Art of Manliness details how the author (also the founder of the site) was able to increase his testosterone from 383 ng/dL to 778 ng/dL in 3 months:

http://www.artofmanliness.com/2013/01/18...naturally/

There's also a podcast he did on the experiment:

http://betterhumanology.com/podcast/testosterone/

He details his entire protocol, said he was age 29 at the time. I get the sense he was being truthful. I would be interested if there were any other similarly detailed accounts of people able to make such dramatic improvements.

^^Yes his advice is legit.
However, this is not "natural testosterone boosting" advice, this is "don't be a retard who willingly destroys his own body" advice.
At least, he is completely honest about his before test measurements: "I was stressed out and my sleeping, healthy eating habits, and workout regimen all suffered."

It is not that hard to understand. If you are stressed, don't sleep enough, eat unhealthy, don't exercise or expose yourself to endocrine disruptors, then improving upon these things will drastically raise your testosterone levels. But I do not understand why this should be labeled as natural testosterone boosting. I guess it sounds fancier than "general health recommendations".

If you are not stressed out, get enough sleep, eat a healthy diet, exercise, limit your exposure to endocrine disruptors and your test is still low, there is no natural cure that will boost your test levels by any meaningful amount. This would be natural testosteron boosting in the true sense of the word, but sadly, this is a fairytale.

I've had a severe DHEA deficiency for many years and supplementing DHEA does far more for me than supplementing T.

My pregnenolone was in the low end of the reference range, just like my T. Apparently, the progesterone to which it converts limits conversion of T to E2 (I can witness this, my T went from 450 to 1050 ng/dl while my E2 dropped from 29 ng/dl to 26 ng/dl without the use of an AI). And I read somewhere that, as opposed to direct progesterone administration, pregnenolone administration does not lead to feminizing effects.

My doctor wants to correct all hormonal and nutritional imbalances. This seems to be the approach taken by all top HRT doctors: First they correct nutritional imbalances, then the adrenal and thyroid hormones, then T, then they add an AI or hcg if necessary.

One of the main points he emphasizes is to eat high cholesterol foods such as eggs, butter, and red meat, in addition to doing all of those other things, without overeating of course. This is contrary to conventional nutritional wisdom. Most people don't eat steak, eggs, and butter every day.

Though, if you're going out 2-3 nights per week, chances are you're probably not doing those other things as well.

Before trying supplements, I believe it's best to focus on where testosterone is naturally made. So don't cook your balls.

Your balls need to stay cool. Stay away from saunas, hot tubs, hot showers/baths. Wear boxers instead of briefs. To take it even further, you can ice your balls on a daily basis and sleep naked.

The above steps will also make you more fertile. So keep that in mind.

Before going on TRT, my T levels in my early 30's were in the low 200's, that of an ancient man! I tried everything. Laying off the booze, switching multiple diets, working out in the gym (never saw any real gains), sleep, supplements, etc. Bottom line is, if your T is chronically low, there's a reason for it, most likely genetic, but can also be due to injuries to your balls or brain, both of which play a feedback loop in T production.

The most authoritative guide I've read is this ebook written by the owners of peaktestosterone.com:

Well worth the few bucks. It goes over both the natural and TRT methods, plus what to look for as to why your T might be low in the first place.

Highly recommended, this is the best of over a dozen books I've read on the subject Natural Versus Testosterone Therapy by Lee Myer. Only six bucks on Kindle, so for the price of two coffees, you can start down the path to getting your T on track.

Also recommend signing up for a free forum account on his website. Literally thousands of useful articles and forum posts.

a lot of medical insurance will cover it as part of your free wellness benefit in connection with an annual physical. but you have to ask the doc to add that test, its not a default test. Also, you might need some other "symptoms" for the doc to get it insurance paid - fatigue, ED, 40+ age, lower libido, etc.

I agree with Vincent that if you have low testosterone, you should focus on your lifestyle first before considering TRT.

. . .

Here are the key lifestyle changes I focused on to increase my testosterone naturally...

1) Diet
For years, I've been doing a low carb diet in an attempt to keep my weight under control. To increase my testosterone, I changed to a more balanced diet: 40% Carbs, 31% Fat, 29% Protein. Now I focus more on the carbs and fat than on the protein. This change had an effect on my libido and morning wood within 24 hours. I wasn't expecting that, but it gave motivation that I was on the right track.

I also eat at a slight calorie deficit so that I'm losing about .5 lb every week. I combine this diet with intermittent fasting (basically skipping breakfast). The goal is to lose bodyfat slowly as to avoid messing with metabolism and the endocrine system. As Galahad noted, losing bodyfat is critical for maintaining or raising testosterone.

2) Sleep
For years I survived on 4-6 hours of sleep a night. I now prioritize my sleep and target between 7-9 hours a night. On average, I get 8 hours of sleep every night.

3) Exercise
I've exercised regularly for years, mainly lifting weights. I've continued with that, but lift only 3 days per week now. I perform 5 exercises per workout, 2 sets per exercise, with a focus on lifting heavy. This takes me just under an hour to complete. I used to add in cardio like running or tabata. Instead of that, I now walk briskly for about 45 min on the other 4 days (about 2.5 miles for me). So I now exercise 7 days a week, 3 days of heavy lifting and 4 days of brisk walking.

4) Reduce Stress
Another big factor is reducing stress in order to keep cortisol low. As RockHard noted, Cortisol will impact Testosterone (they have an inverse relationship). That is one reason I replaced running/tabata with brisk walking.

real good post.

on diet, i would add (a) cut back on alcohol, (b) cut back on things which may trigger allergic or inflammatory responses, like dairy, wheat, or hot spices, © ACV to kill gut yeast, (d) supplements - zinc, magnesium, anything that you are missing, when you get it you'll be Wow!, and (e) organic celery - really puts lead in my pencil.

on sleep, put tinfoil over your windows and eliminate any light emitting devices by covering up alarm clocks, taping over the lights on stereos, etc.

stress - if i have multiple deadlines at work on a day, i'm drained at the end of it. there is not a lot you can do about this except to be cognizant of it.

other - wear looser fitting underwear, like boxers. Also, I sleep in loose fitting sleep pants without underwear.

Natural ways to boost Testosterone?

I have a nice list from John Alexander.

Quote:Quote:

Testosterone Boosting Secret #1: Give Up Butts.

You are literally killing your sex drive and punching yourself in the balls every

time you take a drag on a cigarette. Researchers have found that smokers have

fewer of the testicular Leydig cells that produce testosterone... and the ones that

were still alive were damaged.

Additionally, cigarettes reduce the amount of oxygen in your blood, which pro-
duces softer erections. The worst thing you could ever do as a man is to inter-
fere with your blood flow. Reduced blood flow directly translates into reduced

sex.

The reason cigarette smoke reduces the oxygen in your blood is chiefly be-
cause of the carbon monoxide you absorb from it. Carbon monoxide molecules

replace oxygen molecules in your blood.

And this not only means you have softer erections. Because the car-
bon monoxide damages all of the systems in your body, this means you

also have less energy for sex.

So if you smoke, the absolute best thing you can do for your sex life is to quit.

How do you quit? It's one of those things that's simple but not easy. The way

to quit is to want to quit. It's impossible for me to know what would make you

want to quit. You need to explore and decide that for yourself. That part that isn't

easy, but it must be done.

For me, the motivation came when I began lifting weights and building up my

body. I'd keep a journal of how much I lifted each week, always trying to life more

every week. As a consequence, I'd do whatever it took to be able to life more

weight. That desire within me outweighed my desire for nicotine.

Later on, I read in-depth about the harmful effects of smoking to the human

body... and was astounded by the massive degree to which smoking is harmful.

It's not an overstatement to say that smoking destroys every cell in your body...

so smoking doesn't just mean you'll die at 70 years old instead of 80. It also

means your quality of life is cut down the whole time.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #2: Keep Your Jewels Cool

Prolonged exposure of your balls to heat can literally cause your sperm cells

to die from heat stroke.

The reason your nutsack hangs down off your body is that sperm thrives in an

environment cooler than your body's regular temperature. The optimal temperat-
ure of your testicles is 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35° Celsius). So avoid exposing

them to temperatures higher than that.

Take showers instead of baths. Put your laptop computer on your desk in-
stead of the top of your lap. Wear boxers instead of “tighty whities.”

Testosterone Boosting Secret #3: Keep Sober to Keep Your Sperm

Watch out for excess alcohol consumed over a long period of time (also

known as alcoholism). A lot of people who are alcoholics deny being such, but

here's the point:

A study conducted by the Duke University Medical Center concluded that

drinking causes reduced ability to have erections, plus lower sperm count and

semen production. Even just having alcohol in your system disrupts your body's

ability to have powerful orgasms.

I'm not saying you should become a teetotaler. Feel free to have a cold one

from time to time with buddies, or some wine with your woman at dinner. Just be

aware of the effect alcohol has on your sexual function and adjust the amount

you drink to take that into account.

As far as your body's production of testosterone is concerned, stopping

chronic drinking is one of the quickest ways to boost the amount of this “miracle

hormone” in your bloodstream.

In one study, researchers studied testosterone levels in men after they con-
sumed alcohol. They found that becoming drunk can sink your testosterone

levels by as much as 25%. Getting drunk also spikes the amount of estrogen in

your system.

A second reason to avoid excessive alcohol is that it can block your body's

absorption of many key nutrients. Three nutrients especially needed by your

body for semen production - calcium, magnesium, and zinc - are ravaged by ex-
cessive alcohol.

Thirdly, you need to stay well-hydrated in order to have energy for sex, good

blood flow for the most solid erection possible, and to avoid having the clumpy-
textured semen that many women don't like in their mouths. Unfortunately, alco-
hol dehydrates every cell in your body.

Finally, if you do decide to have a serious workout program (see secret #13,

below), bear in mind that alcohol retards muscle growth. It reduces your body's

ability to break down protein and help build muscle by as much as 20%.

So the bottom line is this: If you're a chronic drinker, you're altering your

body's metabolism of testosterone and even increasing the amount of estrogen it

produces. So if you're an alcoholic, and sex is more important to you than drink-
ing, then get your ass to Alcoholics Anonymous.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #4: Moderate Your Meds

Many medications affect your body's testosterone levels and/or reduce your

sperm count. The worst offenders are anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, ulcer

medicine, and anti-inflammatories.

A huge reason why guys take all these medications is because they're

actually suffering from symptoms of testosterone deficiency. So wean

yourself off of them and work on living the healthy lifestyle that I outline in

these 22 Testosterone Boosting Secrets, and you'll probably find that your

symptoms will go away “on their own.”

If you have problems with depression or anxiety, a better option before resort-
ing to medication is to work on controlling your emotional state. Take a realistic

view of your life. Being depressed doesn't solve a thing, so suck it up and quit be-
ing down on yourself.

In large part, ulcers are caused by overeating, excess alcohol consumption,

caffeine (which stimulates your stomach to secrete acid), smoking, and of course

stress. So the best way to avoid them is to eat and drink moderately and take

care of your health.

Avoid situations that cause you to feel angry. Don't dwell on thoughts that

make you angry. Simply not thinking about bad situations will reduce 90% of the

anger you feel from them. Instead of concentrating on that asshole customer you

encountered today, instead fill your thoughts with visions of how nice your wo-
man's ass feels when you pump her doggy style.

Avoid anti-inflammatories as much as possible, as they can reduce your

sperm count and your ability to maintain solid erections. (Anti-inflammatories are

the drugs such as ibuprofen that you take for headaches, back pains, etc.) Most

of the time anti-inflammatories only treat the symptoms, not the underlying ill-
ness. So if you have a headache, find out what the root cause of it is before you

pop that Advil.

If your headache's caused by caffeine cravings, then work on eliminating cof-
fee and cola from your diet.

Some additional miscellaneous sperm-killing medications to watch out for are:

● Cimetidine (sold under the brand name Tagamet).

● Nitrofurantoin.

● Sulfasalazine

This should go without saying, but also avoid illegal drugs such as marijuana

and cocaine as they can lower your sperm count.

If your headache's caused by stress, then learn relaxation techniques. You

can teach yourself to relax and not feel so stressed out. See below.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #5: Just Relax

This can be difficult for the average guy who lives in the go-go world of hustle

and bustle. But adopt these strategies, and stress will no longer consume you:

Relaxation Strategy 1: Don't allow things to upset you if there's nothing you

can do about it. Getting upset at that driver who's following you too closely won't

cause him to back off. Veins popping in your forehead at the thought of that

chick who rejected you won't help anything either. You can't control the way a

woman thinks or behaves.

Relaxation Strategy 2: Make priorities in life. Work towards your priorities

all the time and be focused only on them. I learned this from a friend who got

started in the import-export business and became successful. His goals were to

build a solid company and become wealthy. So anything that was different from

that literally was “the small stuff” that he couldn't care less about.

Relaxation Strategy 3: Make things happen rather than getting upset and

complaining. Sure, it may be tempting to feel pissed off about all the leaves in

your front yard, but just grab a damn rake and get to work on it (or hire someone

else to do it), and the problem will be solved.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #6: Have More Sex to Make More

Testosterone.

Lack of sex can be a testosterone killer. Basically, “use it or lose it” applies to

your penis and balls just as it applies to so many other things in your life.

If you don't have a regular sex partner, masturbate. Try to ejaculate at least

once every two days, so that your testicles are constantly producing new semen

and testosterone.

However, don't masturbate so much that you sexually satisfy yourself. You

want to find sexual release from women, not your hand.

There's a common myth that sex and/or masturbation reduce testosterone.

The truth of the matter is this... every time you ejaculate, you've shot some

testosterone out of your body, so for a few hours thereafter your testosterone

levels will be lower than they were before you came. However, in the long run,

when your body produces new testosterone, it will produce more than before.

As a matter of fact, studies have shown that men with low testosterone levels

are more irritable and agitated than men with normal levels. So that may be why

men who get laid a lot tend to be more mellow and laid back than men who don't.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #7: Lose the Spare Tire

A bit of body fat is good, but if you're so overweight that your insulin levels

have become elevated, it blocks your body from producing a particular type of

protein that's crucial to testosterone circulation in your bloodstream.

A couple added benefits to losing the excess blubber are that your penis ap-
pears longer without all that fat around it, and you look more attractive to women

overall. (High body fat is a feminine, not masculine, trait.)

Belly fat is particularly damaging in more ways than one. A study of middle-
aged men revealed that there's an inverse correlation between the amount of fat

in your belly and the amount of testosterone in your bloodstream. So even if

you're thin except for a spare tire around the middle, it's still critical that you lose

the fat.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #8: Don't Get Too Skinny

Your body uses fat to produce testosterone, so if the level of fat becomes too

low in your body, you have less of this precious hormone.

Make sure to consume the right kind of fat -- the omega 3s and other fats that

contain HDL or “good cholesterol.” Flaxseed oil, olive oil, and fatty fishes are

good sources of these essential fats.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #9: Eat Less Estrogen

Estrogens in your diet come from sources you'd never suspect.

One of the biggest offenders is soy. It contains estrogen-like chemicals that

can boost your body's supply of that hormone. (In fact, a large reason that post-
menopausal women consume soy is that it acts in many ways as estrogen re-
placement therapy!)

Another source of estrogen is conventional store-bought poultry. In order to

grow chickens as fast as possible, to produce that plump white chicken meat that

consumers crave so much, the feed given to chickens on factory farms is full of

estrogen.

So instead of buying conventional chicken, pay the extra money to buy “hor-
mone free” or even organic chickens.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #10: Yes, You Can Eat Cholesterol

Not all cholesterol is bad. Consume more of the “good cholesterol” (HDL)

and less of the “bad cholesterol” (LDL). Researchers have found that men with

high levels of HDL have higher testosterone.

Avoid consuming too many saturated fats. And avoid trans fats in any quant-
ity. Look for “partially hydrogenated oil” and “vegetable shortening” in ingredients

labels. The main offenders are margarine and packaged baked goods like cook-
ies and crackers.

You can find the good fats in:

● Fatty cold-water fish such as salmon

● Flaxseed oil (which you can find at organic food stores)

● Nuts

Fiber will reduce your LDL levels, so work it into your diet.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #11: Cut Carbs

A diet high simple sugars and starches can cause your blood levels of cortisol

and insulin to spike. These two hormones harm your body's production of

testosterone. Foods to avoid are:

● Low-fiber white breads

● Pasta

● Potatoes

Testosterone Boosting Secret #12: Fruits and Vegetables Jump Start

Your Sex Life

Eat as much fruits and vegetables as you can. An ideal quantity in your diet is

about 70%.

This isn't as hard as it sounds. If you drop the refined carbs such as white

bread from your diet, then you can easily find yourself eating 30% meat and 70%

fruits and vegetables.

Don't worry about it if you can't attain that high of a level, however. A study in

the US showed that adding just one piece of fruit and one serving of vegetables

to your daily diet can increase your testosterone considerably.

Every time you ejaculate, you lose the following nutrients: Vitamins B6, B12, and

E; Calcium; Chlorophyll; Magnesium; Selenium; and Zinc. As you replenish your

body’s stocks of these nutrients, you'll also notice an increase in the volume of

your semen.

Foods rich in some or all of these semen-replenishing nutrients are:

● Oysters (Yes, the rumors about the benefits of this food are true.)

● Beef

● Nuts, especially cashews, pecans, and walnuts

● Oatmeal

● Whole wheat bread

● Avocados

It's also important to get lots of vitamin C... good semen-friendly sources of

which being pineapple juice and oranges. Studies have shown that the more Vit-
amin C you consume as part of your daily diet, the higher your sperm count is.

Spotlight on the Power Vegetables That Will Boost Your Masculinity

Eat more cruciferous vegetables. Studies have shown that these vegetables

boost your testosterone more than any other, due to them being rich in a particu-
lar chemical called indole-3-carbinol, which both suppresses the estrogens in

your body and boost your body's production of the Miracle Hormone.

What are cruciferous vegetables?

✔ Broccoli

✔ Brussels sprouts

✔ Cabbage

✔ Collard greens

✔ Cress

✔ Kale

✔ Kohlrabi

✔ Mustard greens

✔ Radishes

✔ Turnip greens

✔ Watercress

You don't like any of these vegetables, you say? Try raw broccoli with soft

cheese spread on it. The soft cheese drowns out the nasty taste of the broccoli.

And remember that by eating that wonderful snack, you're boosting your

testosterone and improving the taste of your semen, which kills two birds with

one stone.

Something else I recommend is wheatgrass juice. Wheatgrass has been pop-
ular in Eastern traditions for centuries. Recently, University of San Diego re-
searchers found a compound in this plant that increases your production of

sperm.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #13: Increase Your Bulk Rate

After getting your doctor's clearance, work out with weights and eat more pro-
tein. When you lift weights, testosterone levels in your blood can spike up over

30%. Eating enough protein will give your body the raw material to pack on the

muscle.

The best workouts are those in which you work multiple sets rather than just

lifting for a single set. The best exercises are compound exercises such as

squats and deadlifts that work your large muscle groups and many of them at a

time.

As a general rule, the more difficult the exercise (meaning the more weight

you lift), the greater the testosterone boost you'll get. Focus on high intensity: do

high weights for a low number of reps, rather than low weights for a high number

of reps.

Following your workout, you can increase the amount of testosterone in your

system by consuming a protein shake with the right amount of carbohydrates. I

recommend having whey protein mixed with milk. From researching and talking

with other bodybuilders, I've found that the best quality for the price is ON Whey,

which you can order cheaply and reliably from sites such as bodybuilding.com.

Ultimate Nutrition's whey is also good.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #14: Get Fit Fast

Any exercise that makes you breathe hard -- not just weightlifting -- that you

do to exhaustion kicks your body into testosterone-making high gear. Addition-
ally, exercising on a regular basis keeps your level of testosterone elevated over

the long term.

Aerobic workouts like jogging or working out with a punching bag boost the

amount of oxygen in your bloodstream and improve the flow of blood in your

body. Not only does this make it easier for you to have erections (and makes

them more powerful), but aerobic exercise has also been found to improve the

quality of your sperm.

Avoid overdoing exercise, however. (This goes for both cardio and weight

training.) Extreme exercising like training for a marathon can cause your

testosterone to drop by up to 40%. This is because when you over-train, your

body produces the hormone coritsol. This is the same testosterone-killing hor-
mone produced when you're stressed out.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #15: Win

Engage in competitions in areas that you're good at. Studies have shown

that, believe it or not, winning at something can boost your testosterone levels.

Losing can cause your testosterone levels to go down.

And it literally doesn't matter what you do. Top football players have been

found to have higher testosterone than normal, but so have top mathematicians.

By the way, being good at something will also boost your confidence level,

which makes you more attractive to women. Sexual confidence means more

pleasure both for you and your woman.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #16: Control Your Caffeine

There have been a lot of studies done on caffeine, and the majority have

shown the drug to be detrimental to your testicles.

For example, a study in Denmark of couples drinking from 3 to 7 cups of cof-
fee a day found that the man's ability to impregnate his woman fell by a third, due

to a significant quantity of his sperm being in twisted shapes and dead.

(I'm not saying that you should necessarily want to get your woman pregnant,

by the way. But the best way to avoid pregnancy is by using birth control, not by

damaging your body's production of sperm.)

Studies have shown that consuming caffeine on a regular basis decreases

your body's production of testosterone. Most likely this is because caffeine

screws with your adrenal glands.

Caffeine also makes it hard for you to relax because it makes you jittery. To

have the best possible sex, you need to be relaxed.

To add to this laundry list about caffeine, this drug depletes your body of

many of the nutrients it needs to be able to produce ample semen and testoster-
one -- the B vitamins, vitamin C, calcium, and zinc.

Finally, caffeine constricts your blood vessels, which inhibits your penis from

filling up with blood and getting the powerful erections that make you a good lov-
er.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #17: Drink More Water

In order for glands such as your testicles to run at full capacity, you need to

be fully hydrated. When your body becomes dehydrated, your testicular glands

are some of the first bodily functions to be shut down until you can replenish your

fluids.

In other words, the less water you drink, the less testosterone your body pro-
duces. So try to have a bottle of water with yourself at all times throughout the

day and then next to your bed at night. Get in the habit of constantly taking sips.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #18: Eat Like a Caveman

Studies have shown that eating more meat induces your body to produce

more testosterone. Avoid a lot of saturated fat like you find in pork and try to

stick with:

● Lean beef (Look for cuts with the word “round” in the label such as top

round and bottom round. Sirloin is also good.)

● Hormone-free chicken

● Fish

Testosterone Boosting Secret #19: Sleep Well

Get a full night's sleep, every night. If you become sleep deprived, your

testosterone levels plummet. So it's not an overstatement to say that sleep is like

weightlifting for your penis.

What's important is getting Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. This occurs

an average of 90 minutes after you doze off.

So even if you get prevented from having a full eight hours of sleep overnight,

you can still take power naps of two hours or so to give your testosterone a

boost.

During every REM phase, you get an erection as your glands work on releas-
ing more testosterone into your system. (If you've ever wondered why you get

boners at night, that's why. It's not just because you have dirty dreams.) This

happens about five times a night.

So get as comfortable as possible at night so your sleep isn't interrupted. Re-
member: eight hours of sleep makes your dick stronger.

Just like when you hit the weights at the gym, you gotta do the work to

maintain your strength, or else your muscles shrivel back down. Well, it's

the same thing when it comes to your cock and getting enough sleep: get

enough shuteye or lose your penis power.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #20: Turn Off the Cell

Your cellphone is bad for your balls.

A university study in Hungary found that men who carry mobile telephones in

their hip pockets had a sperm count 30% lower than other men.

Though the studies are not yet definitive (for example, one critique of the

study suggests that perhaps men who carry cells in their pocket simply have

more stress than other guys), I highly suggest erring on the side of caution by

keeping your cell phone away from your testicles.

When you do have to carry your phone in your pocket, make sure it's turned

off.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #21: Sunshine

Have you ever read about seasonal affective disorder (SAD)? It's the label

psychologists give to the phenomenon of increased levels of depression in the

population during wintertime, which is caused by a lack of exposure to sunlight

when people stay inside all day during cold spells.

The cure for SAD is either exposure to sunlight or treatment with bright lights.

Studies of men who underwent the same bright-light therapy that SAD sufferers

receive show that such therapy excites a man's pituitary gland, causing him to

have a rise in his testosterone levels.

Try to get sunlight particularly in the early morning, which the studies showed

to be the best time of day to get the exposure. You can kill two birds with one

stone by jogging outside in shorts. (Even if it's cold outside, you'll warm up soon

enough during your jog.)

Testosterone Boosting Secret #22: Meditate

So you think meditation is for wimps? Well, studies have found that guys who

practice techniques in stress relief have higher levels of testosterone.

The reason stress relief works is that it lowers your body's levels of testoster-
one-killing cortisol.

Some exercises involving meditation are yoga and Tai Chi. An added bonus

of yoga in particular is that overwhelming numbers of its practitioners are women.

In the yoga classes I've taken over the years, I've often been the only guy in a

room full of hot, sexy women. Definitely a nice situation to be in!

Yoga and meditation will teach you how to clear all the cobwebs from your

mind and set you at ease. Not only that, but you'll learn proper postures and

methods of breathing, keeping you more mellowed out in general.

Now you've seen your potential to build the Miracle Hormone in your body

naturally simply by following the 22 secrets I've given you. Your destiny is in your

control.

Testosterone Boosting Secret #6: Have More Sex to Make More

Testosterone.

Lack of sex can be a testosterone killer. Basically, “use it or lose it” applies to your penis and balls just as it applies to so many other things in your life.

If you don't have a regular sex partner, masturbate. Try to ejaculate at least once every two days, so that your testicles are constantly producing new semen and testosterone.

However, don't masturbate so much that you sexually satisfy yourself. You want to find sexual release from women, not your hand.

There's a common myth that sex and/or masturbation reduce testosterone.

The truth of the matter is this... every time you ejaculate, you've shot some testosterone out of your body, so for a few hours thereafter your testosterone levels will be lower than they were before you came. However, in the long run, when your body produces new testosterone, it will produce more than before.

As a matter of fact, studies have shown that men with low testosterone levels are more irritable and agitated than men with normal levels. So that may be why men who get laid a lot tend to be more mellow and laid back than men who don't.

Any truth to this? I'm reading different things on this as far as T production. Some say NO FAP will increase your Testosterone, and yet something like this says to ejaculate at least once every two days. Well, which is it? The longest I've gone NO FAP is about 2 weeks but I really can't tell if my T levels are raised or not...I don't really feel any different.

Your body won't know the difference on HOW you're losing testosterone (sex vs. fap) it just knows to produce more. But then you hear No Fappers claim their T levels are higher due to no release.

I wish we could get some solid information either way.

I'm pretty sure it's better if it's sex. I've read that Genghis Khan made it a point to have sex everyday as part of his daily routine because he believed it made him more virile. Since he was one of the most virile men ever so I'd follow that tip.

Personally, I'd avoid masturbating.

You might raise your T naturally by 100, maybe 200 points if you're lucky. But if you're at 300, going up to 400 might not do you that much good.

Heavy lifting, sex with hotties, and a high sat fat diet won't take you from 300 to 1000.

Got the same advice months ago from my own doctor, he told me that I could do anything I want to boost my T naturally I would never reach the level of people constantly living a carefree life under the sun, eating fresh food & fishs and not worrying about work or money, as someone said earlier: the first thing to get rid of is the High Cortisol rate, it's the T killer by far.

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral

Natural ways to boost Testosterone?

I think some of it goes beyond just supplements and lifestyle adjustments such as better sleep and tin foiling your windows. Something about natty high test and being a fine tuned princess doesn't sound right together.

Do you go to the gym to lift something heavy and blow off steam or are you trying to look pretty for selfies. Thats two different mindsets and I don't doubt there will be a difference in test output.

The thoughts that go on in your head I think are a big one. Your inner mind is not so private, all your actions in the world stem from them. Your mind is also guided by your hormonal profile. It all ties together and you cant work on one in isolation.

Think of the chapter about lobster hierarchies in Jordan Petersons 12 Rules for Life. The defeated lobster will have a slouched posture and increased cortisol. They are both linked in the muscles and brain. You brain is just where the nerves that are throughout your body interact. This is done for the protection of the lobster itself by nature, if the lobster cant win fights, its better he be less aggressive. No amount of zinc pills and naps will fix that beyond making him the best version of defeated lobster.

Luckily humans can learn how their body works, how their mind works and adapt to ride that peak test wave. This could be the reason why perhaps natty high T and intelligence is correlated. Someone with natty high t got their by using the brain to constantly think of how to re frame/pivot/leverage his losses into wins without letting the loss manifest itself in his body and mind.

I put the above items into my amazon shopping cart, to total up the cost: £130.

I thought it was a good video but there are so many contradictions about this topic.

N6: Might be worthwhile to check out Mike Mahler’s aggressive strength testosterone booster. Has ashwaganda and several other herbs. Nothing will be like TRT but this may be cheaper and more efficacious than your current amazon cart

I wonder if doing heavy manual labor, outside under the sun jacks up your testosterone. That’s were 95% of humans during our existence spent their time and evolved.

Muscle beach comes to mind.

All I know is that in college when I landscaped or when I occasionally do ball breaking work outside, I’m ready to ride my mastodon into battle, put a few heads on a stake, and then toss some women over my shoulder for coitus in the cave.

Apparently gladiators trained naked for this reason. The sun was seen as a masculine force by most ancient belief systems.

Thanks for that, I think the youtube video I posted mentioned MM. Will look into MM to see if he ships to the UK and whether the value is better compared to my amazon cart and local health shop.

My strategy so far is (tactics to be defined down the line):

0: Get a blood test to snapshot the present situation

1. Avoid direct attention to testosterone: look at estrogen and cortisol first by considering sleep, play and work.. In other words, take out the asbestos, rotting timbers and fix the roof before refurbishing the house.

2. Adopt a healthier and organic (grass fed) diet, quit beer (which could be worse than soy) and work out with weights intensely with HIIT style cardio. I suspect that using soy and corn fed chicken as a primary source of protein is counter-productive if it messes with our hormones.

So far the costs are negligible and probably beneficial if I quit alcohol and stop eating out completely.

3. With the structure of the house sorted, I can now look at the architectural detailing, decoration, fixtures and fittings: i.e. supplements. No point supplementing if I am not eating cruciferous vegetables however.

4. In 10 years or so, look into HRT as I will be at an age where I would have less to lose; the risk in the Cost, Risk Benefit appraisal will be less and the benefit higher.
