I thought this show was from an adult cable channel, but I don't know for sure. It could be a porno movie. As you all know, Japanese porno movies can get really creative with different eroticized situations and themes.
Anyway, Japanese married couples don't have much sex, if I understand correctly, because of their lifestyle. Many Japanese men work 12-hours a day six days a week and sleep all day on Sunday. Because they don't exercise or get enough sleep and don't eat healthy enough, I think their testosterone levels fall through the floor.
Because the husbands fall into deep beta-provider frame, their wives lose sexual attraction to them. Of my wife's 10 or so married women friends, I think nine have told her that they have sex maybe three times a year.
Pretty much this, thing is the 12 hours workday really isn't much work, most Jobs (save for something like IT or something) people can finish their work in about 6-7 hours, but they pretty much can't leave "until the boss leaves" Which means most of the time workers do a whole lot of nothing and save their work for later and the frequent smoke breaks(like 20 times a day, no joke) are just passing the time. THEN you have to go out drinking with the boss or co-workers sometimes, so on top of working all day, they want you to go "partying" with them.
Then that's if you have a decent job. . .
If you don't and/or your young, and not connected with rich parents, then you're working at shit job with low pay, or if you're lucky and young at a new company you pretty much get treated like crap by your "seniors" for a few years.(if you're a man especially) Mostly meaning that you can't really afford your own place in the city and are living with your parents. . .going out and partying to try and get women is truly like having another job.
Now if the economy were better (remember it's been in the toilet for a while) then it would be loads easier for young cats to get some, as they'd have the money and probably the time as well to get in some game. . . that and they wouldn't be living with their parents which = not a lot of sex happening.
Of course there are lots of guys who get laid regardless, but pretty much EVERY woman there is having sex. It may not be with her husband or BF, but she IS having sex.
@VVV Japanese women are having sex, lots of sex, some men are having lots of sex, some aren't but really what the problem is. . .is, They aren't having enough CHILDREN. with what was said above, most people just simply don't have much time for that(and money as well)
(Also the surveys that you see get talked about. . .the people they survey are most definitely lying about their habits, but that's a whole cultural topic that makes it as if they're not really lying. . .and that is something you'll need to look up. its why people seem to have all this wonky info about the place and its usually 100% wrong.)
anyway why there is a problem with not enough children:
1)The Shitty economy (40 recessions aren't great for men getting some)
2)the culture of "work" and respecting your elders, mostly meaning your elders in work, school etc. . .
3)The concept of focusing on the group over the individual, which ties #2 together.
(this is a very short condensed explanation, a long detailed would take more time then I have.)
Basically #2 and # aren't half bad, the work culture comes form a time when companies would pretty much employ you for life and take REALLY good care of you AND your family in exchange for service and loyalty. . .but again, #1 happened and the Japan of now is the result of that mixed with the mindsets that didn't change with the economic change.
Japan is not a feminist country at all. So the idea that "Feminism" is the root of Japan problems is very short sided. Not everything has to have a "feminism is the problem" spin on it. Japanese Men go through a lot of shit and it has nothing to do with feminism at all.
Ive glossed over a LOT of things, but this is kind of the gist of it, if you really want to see the method to the madness, you need to come to the country to live for a few years, talk to people, meet people, get out, and just see for yourself, Japan isn't a place you can learn about just from watching some internet videos or shitty articles on huffpo, cnn or whatever.
@RawGod. . .That sig, cracks me up whenever I see it.
