I looked back through the earlier responses in this thread and saw a handful of guys in the 5'7"-5'9" range making some comments about their napoleon complex. That left me making faces more perplexed than the emoji smiley.

I don't know the best way to put this, but i'll try to alleviate the issue.
-the only answer to overcoming your height is to stop giving a fuck about it and the day that you do will improve your life. How you view yourself is the most important factor to attraction. Game can't train you to hide subconscious body language that you project. Some lack of self esteem will always slip through.

Words of optimism: I'm on the bottom cusp of male height and have still been able to attract top notch women. In freshmen year of college all the other guys would congratulate me on how hot my girlfriend was. If a short or tall woman turns me down and explicitly states it's due to height, then I couldn't care less. She's either a prospect i cancel to be time efficient or a new angle to have fun with. I know to be acutely aware of physicality and be indifferent to it also.

Research the history behind height attraction if you're not satisfied. Height hasn't been proven to be an evolutionary benefactor and in fact is one of the few words that actually qualifies to be called a 'social construct'. While it does give you an advantage on most facets of modern life, it's still a recently developed construct of, well modern life. Height does matter, but only because it's subjective importance in nearly all society. Height is advantageous because of its assumption of dominance through body language and accompanying assumption that height equals strength. It's a fact that taller men will nearly always out reach or impose dominance posture on shorter men. The key is still how you see yourself

Thing is 5'6-5'10 is actually not short, but very average height range( this coming from a 5'10 guy) , so I don't know where this napoleon complex is coming from for guys in that height range.Even when I look at a 5'6 guy vs a 5'11 guy, I don't feel the height difference is big enough. 5'6 guy could wear 2 inch booster shoes and then the difference almost flys under the radar.

A tall guy can only amog with height if the short guy gives up his ground..in other words, it is all you if you are a short guy, your the one who decided if a tall guy amogs you, not the tall guy.

And you are right that height is a social construct. Most probably because the western world is both sport based and corporate based.

For example, it is expected that a high level manager or CEO have a commanding presence and height gives that right off the bat so taller CEOs/managers tend to get hired....even the women managers are tall.

Regarding sports, the most popular sports , football, baseball and basketball , having height is a clear advantage here. It is apparent in European women being more accepting of height because soccer is a popular sport there and it is advantageous to be short .

There are also some excellent advantages of being short rather than tall, but this is not tall vs. short, this is about short guys who need to not give a fuck about the height the universe choose to bless them with...see what I did there; frame your lack of height as a blessing .

Wear your lack of height as armour rather than a stray jacket.

I was 177cm when I got in military when I was 18 years old. It has been almost 5 years ever since. Used to be 62 kg back then. Now I am 80 kg+ and still lean.

I might consider getting elevated shoes to get myself in the 185+ cm range, just for club nights(cuz they are shallow as fuck). Otherwise I haver never had any issues with my height.
