list of freelancing gigs that pay pretty well

Hey guys.

I've been checking out this forum, and I've noticed that a lot of people here have a sense of dispair regarding the current job market. Well, this sub-forum's description specifically mentions freelancing as a topic to discuss, so I'll try to bring up some freelancing niches that you can do well in financially. No strategic tips, just ideas for fields you might consider picking up. I might do a strategy thread someday, not sure.

1. Direct response copywriting. Marketing copy intended to get the reader to buy immediately. You can do it if you know something about sales, and are truly a top-flight writer. Best paid writing job there is, outside of being a multimillionaire novelist. Safe from low bidding competition because the english skills required are really advanced.

2. Press release writing. One of the higher paying writing gigs. Involves creating newsy articles for release to the media. Pays well because clients expect it to generate publicity for them.

3. Voice acting. Involves doing voice for telephone prompts and stuff like that. If you have a radio voice, it pays well. Have an uncle who got rich off this nifty little business.

4. High end programming. Rates for web designers are going down every day, but if you actually have sick programming skills and can build new applications for people, you can still command good money.

5. Model/Celeb photography. Just thought I'd throw that in there, for the more adventurous. It can indeed pay.

Alright that's hardly a comprehensive list, but the above do indeed pay in this economy. Hope it helps someone.
