One immediate problem I see with your strategy is that you seem to be doing things way ahead of schedule. Dinner in Buenos Aires is at 10:00 P.M. or even later. Inviting a girl to a go to a bar at 9:00, before dinner, makes little sense. The reason why one bar you went to at 10:00 or 11:00 or whatever was that it was way too early. People in Buenos Aires don't go out until at least 12:00 or 1:00. I agree that Buenos Aires is a very difficult city, but you can at least reduce some of the damage by adopting the local customs.

Good tip! But yes I tried to set up dates at 10 or 11 with similar results.

Try for 12:30 or 1 and report back. I know from experience that at 10 or 11 they will most likely be having dinner with their families.

Or preparing thenself for the night, or just doing a "pre-night" with her friends.

What's a good club for a Saturday night?

I was in Buenos Aires about a month ago and remember Rose Bar on Saturday night being fun. Good girl to guy ratio.

Good thing about that area is that there are a lot of other clubs right next to it in case it's not popping. On the corner you'll see promoters handing out free wristbands to get into their clubs. They're usually pretty decent as well.

For Sunday night please go to Makena Club. I saw maybe two other tourists there and tons of friendly hot chicks there. DJ Afromama spins in between every live music performance. There was never a dull moment. Tons of talent, saw about 10 different live performances for a $5 entry. Can't recommend it enough, especially if you like hip hop.

Good stuff dro323.

I hit up Alamo last night and drank a bit too much beer haha. Good spot to pickup and I was able to help out my wing with some approaches.

One thing is that I dress a bit more classy, usually with a blazer and leather shoes. Any recommendations for a spot that's not a club for tonight? I'm looking at Milion due to a recommendation from this thread. Just want to have some drinks and spit some game in a classy, more low-key venue.

I may hit up Makena the following week, what's it like?

I've got lots, and will put up a datasheet in a bit.

Off the top of my head

Food:
- El Cuartito has fantastic Argentian style pizza, get the one with ham, cheese and roasted onions, or the one with the egg cracked on top.
- La Cabrera for fantastic steaks. Also Cafe Nostalgia in Palermo

Nightlife:
- Plaza Serrano in Palermo is popping, and has a lot of big clubs. I can vouch for Rose Bar (it's a giant club, despite the name) on a Sat night if you're good at club game. Chicks are not easy to pull here, and I had more success at nearby bars where I could actually talk to people.
- The Alamo is a good spot on Thurs or Fridays, it's packed but lots of Argentians looking to practice their English

Culture:
- Sunday, San Telmo street festival. Also good place for day game
- Take a bike tour, it's a great way to see the city and learn about the history

Overall, I love this city. Though I will say it's cold. Bring a large coat as it's usually around 60-40degrees F. Hit me up if you have any other questions.

What are the nicest places to live in BA in terms of proximity to nightlife, cleanliness, high-status people, etc?

Strongly considering moving there for a few months in early-mid 2016

Recoleta, Palermo, and Belgrano, in that order

First off, you're going during their Winter. I would not recommend it as it gets cold. Aim for the spring/summer months if possible Oct - Feb

I would live as close to Plaza Serrano as possible as there are a lot of bars and clubs within walking distance.

Like the other commenter said: Recoletta, Palermo, etc.

It's cold there in May and June, but still no snow or anything. If you go in January, February, and March the weather should be great. If I had my choice of Argentine cities, I would go to Mendoza first, then Cordoba, then Buenos Aires. The problem is that it is easier to find flights to both Buenos Aires and Cordoba than to Mendoza. Last time I checked, you could fly directly from Miami to Cordoba. Also, the hater comments in response to Roosh's School of Argentine Girls blog post are what first led me to the forum. Bunch of angry Betas and loser women.

I'd go with Palermo Viejo. Recoleta is great too. Just remember, both zones are huge so do some research.

Thanks for the info guys. Will definitely be checking back here in the future. Think I'm going to aim for Montreal around May and then Buenos Aires in October.

Hey pfeffer, porteño from Bs As here. Both Palermo and Recoleta are good places for a traveller, Palermo is closer to the night-life centers. Mid-year can be cold, but Bs As-cold is 5º C at the lowest. March is a good month, you still have a warmer weather, and the university chicks are just starting the first semester. send me a PM if you have more doubts.
