Hey,

I'm going to Fontainebleau to study for 5 months in a management program. I was wondering if anyone here knows what it's like hooking up in France, what French girls are like, etc.

Any advice would be appreciated. In exchange, I can give you great advice about NE Asia.

Common thinking dictates that France and specifically Paris sucks.

I don't agree with common thinking.

I love France, French Girls, French food, French Art, french wine, and french topless beaches.

Really, the only thing I dislike about France is that Christian Audiger guy and his gay t-shirts.

Learning French is key, but I think its more important to learn Spanish for Spain.

I don't speak French great, but I always had great luck with French Girls.

You will have an insane time.

Ask some more specific questions, and I will see if I can help.

"Have you run day game in Paris before? Is it effective?"

Hell, yes. In fact, many of my Paris trips were when I was younger, with minimal dough, so I didn't hit up the dope night clubs as much.

I always spit day Game there. There are always tons of tourists from all over the world, so you have your pick.

French Girls are also very diverse, blonde, brunettes, black girls etc. Dope.

Honestly, some of the best Day Game in the world is in Paris I think. Not to say its easy though. But there is something about that city. Hit up the museums. Gold mines. Especially Musée d'Orsay. The most beautiful art and girls. You need to report back to me on that tip.

"although I will start taking classes once I get there"

Might as well start now. You can thank me later. I think the key in Paris is that you need to TRY to speak French. That will separate you enough. Most Americans don't even try.

"I am going to be living about 30 miles outside of Paris"

Ouch. This will make it difficult to swoop Parsian girls. Never been to the Fontainebleau, but I suspect there are some fly French girls there too. Smaller town France can be tons easier to swoop than Paris. So it could be a good thing. Otherwise, you will be a weekend warrior: never optimal.

I would avoid swooping girls at your school, more headache. But if there is a super fly one...

"How DTF are French girls with Asian men?"

No idea. I am not Asian.

I don't know, maybe play up the Kung-fu, Bruce Lee angle. I am sure you can make it work.

Just don't act like a "typical American".

That's 90% of the battle.

Keep us up to date on this, 5 months in France, you are stoked.

Hello youngmobileglobal,
I give you my advice as I'm french but not from Paris although I worked there a few months.

"what it's like hooking up in France, what French girls are like, etc."

I can just tell you that girls from Paris are probably the hardest ones [Image: smile.gif]
Well maybe not for strangers and I think french girls prefer diversity. They are most of the time bitchy, classy and thus more difficult to approach.

But they are also incredibly gorgeous and honestly they are tons and tons of beautiful girls in Paris.

"I have heard in the past that linguistic barriers throw up serious hurdles for guys running game in France."
Language barrier should not be a problem, as GManifesto said it is more important to speak spanish in Spain - I live in Madrid right now and I think french girls speak much better english than spanish girls do. But living in France will help your level of French to improve and in a few weeks your level in french should be sufficient to game those french ladies.

"I am going to be living about 30 miles outside of Paris"
For the logistics, it's true that living away from Paris could restrain you from practicing and banging a lot of french girls during the week. You should nevertheless be able to spend your week ends in Paris center, you have a good train connection. In which management school are you going to? Management schools are a gold mine in term of girls you should definitely be able to hook up with these girls.

"How DTF are French girls with Asian men?"
Well I don't know this one but they like diversity for sure and are not willing to go out with French guys only. You will see that in the street. I think that they are really open-minded.

Last advice: try to travel in France and go to the south, you will find beautiful girls too and probably easier [Image: smile.gif]

Good luck !

Hey Julio,

Thanks for the useful advice! I will be in Fontainebleau, studying environmental management at Ecoles des Mines. Unfortunately the school is really tiny so I imagine there is a very limited pool of girls I can choose from. I don't want to make false assumptions, but Ecoles des Mines is a very difficult school for French nationals to get into, and based on my experience girls become increasingly less attractive when they are in more competitive schools. I could be completely wrong in terms of Ecoles des Mines, though. Also, I think INSEAD might be nearby but I"m not sure. If it is, then I am in luck! [Image: kissy.gif]

Do you know anything about Fontainebleau in particular? From what current program participants tell me, it is very beautiful but also very much in a remote area, although I have the convenient train (RER) that goes straight into Paris. Of course, the logistics would be easier if I can game INSEAD girls.

Oh yeah, and I"ve heard amazing things about the south but I won't really have time to go down there for too long.

Hey YoungM

"Do you know anything about Fontainebleau in particular?"
Sorry, don't know this place. Of course I know l'Ecole des Mines since it's one of the best engineer school in France. Try to hook up with the girls in INSEAD, girls usually study management/economy much more than mathematics/physics...
Try also to hook up with the girls in HEC school, the campus is closed to Fontainebleau.
5 months it's not long but I think you'll enjoy your trip !

I've been here for two weeks now, one of which was spent in a polluted industrial zone in the south of France. I've made friends with the 30 or so people in my program but, to keep things professional, I am going to (try) to not bang any of these girls.

They all have their own little social circles in Paris, though, which is the first thing I am going to try and check out. My motivations are primarily for social/business networking and language acquisition, but if I see a girl I particularly like I am going to go for it.

Alternatively, my French has already progressed very quickly and I can have basic conversations in French. I also somehow picked up my Spanish from where I left off six years ago and it is now at least as good, if not better than my Chinese.

Girls in Paris are cold, in a rush, and generally unapproachable. Girls in Fontainebleau are very rare as this town is quite suburban.

My first strategy will be to start hitting on the girls in my dormitory, although the only ones I've seen so far have been chubby Middle Eastern and South Asian girls who wear Burkas. Not very encouraging.

I am optimistic.

Additionally, if anyone knows anything about Lyon I would love some information. I will be spending three weeks in Lyon and one week in Poland.

Hello youngmobileglobal,

The best thing for you to do is to concentrate on your studies. Girls are more attracted to cool but studious men. If you play it that way there is a big possibility that the woman of your dreams will take the initiative to know you better. Avoiding over aggressive ladies if you want to stay out of trouble.

Paris is a great city. I don´t know much about Fontainebleau though. I was actually born in Paris and lived there for 10 years. My father is there so I visit him a lot. French girls are very open minded regarding dating people from different countries, I don´t think that this will be a problem. The place to party in Paris is near Bastille, nearby there´s a street with a lot of bars, but you can´t really consider Paris as a partying town, more like a place to take a girl for a weekend. Quartier Latin is a cool place to have dinner with lots of restaurants, there´s one that I usually go called Coup de Foudre. French have a strong coffeeshop culture. The list of places to go is endless. Like Gmanifesto said Musée D´Orsay is a must. Besides the obvious Tour Eiffel and Champs Elysée, Montmartre, Quartier de Saint Germain, are also good to visit. French don´t like english people in general, that´s a fact, but I think that they do like american culture, going to Miami on holidays is a new trend at least in my father friends circle.
There´s an old rivalry between french and english, so french do not like to speak english or any other language in fact, i think there´s a funny story about it regarding the fast plane concorde.
French girls in south are definitely more liberal, in places like Marseille, etc, you will have an easier time on that matter.
You should also consider searching on facebook and Couchsurfing for local communities. I did that for Oslo I joined all the groups of Oslo in facebook and an italian girl just added me, hopefully I will have a beer with her when I arrive (although i´m more interested in blond blueyed norwegians hotties), if that doesn´t work there´s a couchsurf party in the same day.
Ahh there was a phrase that me and my brothers use to say to girls:
"nick, nick avec moi". I don´t think it will get you far though, we were very young back then.

Wow, this will keep me occupied for a couple of weeks. I am definitely going to hit up couchsurfing.

I've always wanted to date an Eastern Euro girl, I wonder if there are a lot of them in Paris (I"d assume so).

Thanks for all the advice. I"ll keep everyone updated.

YMG,

Great work. I should have suggested this.

I used to pick up girls at the trains all the time.

The great thing is that if a girl is going the same direction, you can sit with her the whole way. And girls are often alone. Excellent for Day Game.

"I clearly got bonus points for trying as hard as I did, which seemed charming I suppose."

Exactly, that this the key to French Game.

"I saw a sexy little blond thing reading a little book by herself"

That's the huge advantage to European girls. If you were in Southern California, she would have been tweating, or texting, or bbming or facebooking.

Got to ask you again. Have you hit up Musée d'Orsay?

Yeah, I think it will help your day Game by leaps and bounds. Pick up the habit.

"Also, did you ever do your Lithuania trip, G manifesto? "

No. Waiting till warmer weather. May.
