Funny graphic, but on a serious note, what do you guys actually believe the bases are these days? My impression was that it went something like this:

First Base: Making out
Second Base: Handjobs/fingering, maybe dry humping. I generally put sexting here as well.
Third Base: Oral sex
Home Run: Intercourse
Grand Slam: Anything beyond plain old one-to-one intercourse. Could include anal, threesomes, and others things like that.

Is there general agreement on this, or am I a little unconventional here?

Using your examples I would go:

Still in the dugout: sexting
First Base: Making out, Handjobs/fingering, Oral sex
Homerun: Intercourse

There are not "second" or "third bases" anymore.

I think this is a good thread to post some observations I've had of late. Back in my "Reflections on the no-dating challenge" thread, I said I would try dating girls and see what results came about.

I've been doing this for only three weeks, and I've had enough experiences that I can safely falsify the concept of dating.


The conclusion I have matches what others have said about dating:

Anything a man does to slow down the progression towards sex will lower his chances of seeing a girl again. That is basically how mating in the modern world works.

Dating does not make a girl like you more. There is nothing behind dating except to give the girl more of your time and attention when it will not increase your chances of having sex or a relationship with her.

Women instinctively view sex as the medium of power by which they judge men, and if they do not give you sex by the first or second time they meet you, they automatically view you as inferior (i.e. beta) and they lose interest in you.

My view on the progression of the sexual bases isn't so much what the graphic is arguing--even though it's hilarious. I mean, there's definitely been some "inflation": a little kiss isn't first base anymore. I'd say a full-on, messy make-out session is probably first base now. Some below-the-waist action (hand job, fingering) is second base-ish. And, oral sex is still third base. Home plate is what it's always been.

What I've observed is that rounding those bases is a lot quicker than it was before. You don't progress one base per date. You don't get stopped at first or second base as often anymore. You swing for the fences every time, and you can make it around in a date or two.

It's a lot like the Major Leagues. The ball (the girls) and the players (guys with game) are juiced, so the ball is flying out of the park in record numbers.

This. I've felt this way for some time now - girls see you as weak if you *don't* hit it on the first date, regardless of how DTF they are. Esp. with OKC chicks, hitting it on the first date is often required if you want to see them again, as otherwise they just flake out. Girls have so much BS going on that they need a good dicking to put the inertia in your favor and come back.

I'm pretty sure I lost out on a lot of lays from not getting the girl drunk enough to lower her "I'm not a slut" defense. If she's too sober, she won't be DTF, and then she may not come back again.

Nope it hasn't. Just faster to run through them now. Second is usually skipped these days as well.
