Am heading there midweek for the weekend I think.

Any suggestions? Bars? Clubs? Sightseeing? Beaches?

I lived in alicante to study for 2 months. I speak fluent spanish and am well versed on spanish culture. The girls there as in all of spain stay in groups of friends which they have known their entire life. It is very hard to penetrate that group. Best of making friends with guys who will introduce you to girls.

Lumiere,

It has been a long time since I was there, so I can't help you as far as bars and clubs.

I did love it though.

I was younger and mostly beach Gamed topless girls and ate seafood and smoked cigarettes at beachside restaurants.

Looking forward to your report.

Lumiere, how was Alicante? I want some spots in Spain to hit aside from the conventional spots: Ibiza, Barcelona, Madrid.

Gonna hit Alicante next week for between 2-6 nights, not exactly sure yet. It may only end up being midweek, but want to definitely have some fun there. I suspect it wont be booming as this is still a little early season, but there should be some fun to be had I'm guessing. Anyone been there recently or can give any tips?

Try to make a visit to Benidorm which is 46 kilometers to the north. I had a lot of fun there, but it has been a long time.

That looks like a good place to be from what I can tell. Any more insight you can provide on it?

Where to stay?
Kind of people?

I would skip Benidorm.

It is an overdeveloped place on the Med supposedly full of British.

If that other guy can make a case to go, then maybe, but I doubt it.

Lumierie didn't really knock it out of the park on the report back on this thread did he?

If it was the thread titled "Spain Tips" I didn't see him really touch on it all. If it's a different one then I missed it.

I think I'm gonna skip also as I don't have THAT many days there and would rather focus on Alicante, Torrevieja, and Almeria than spread myself too thin.

The one thing is I can get a cool apartment on the cheap RIGHT next at Levante Beach which should make things much easier logistically.
