Europe or Australia in January

Hello my people,
I will have about 2 months off from work next quarter. I am finally coming home next year after a 4 year working in shitty Aberdeen.
I am thinking about spending that 2 months either in Europe(Germany/Sweden/Switzerland) or going to Australia. I am not too sure what Sweden will be like in the winter time, perhaps not a place to go touring. And if I don't like Sweden I can easily travel to other places in Europe(Portugal).
On the other hand, Australia(Gold coast will be nice and sunny). But not too sure about the qualities of the girls over there. And if I don't like it, I have no choice but to stay there until it is time to leave.

I guess I want to good balance between what to do doing the day(site seeing) and at night. And since I am not too sure when I will be coming this way again, I want to make the best of it.

I have been to Sydney once with my ex-girl 2 years ago for two weeks.

Northern Europe and Scandinavia would be freezing right now, better off saving them them for when it's summer up North.

I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Right now is the best time to come to Australia, the weather is beautiful and all the girls are out in skimpy clothing, working on their tans and getting even sluttier. There's also a ton of foreigners in Melbourne and Sydney this time of year. The other day I spat same day game in Melbourne city centre and of the 20 girls I opened two were Dutch, two were German (another German opened my wing) all of whom were either backpackers or on working holidays and one was a lonely Canadian just settling in to live here permanently.

The Gold Coast doesn't have as much to do during the day, if you're looking for the total experience Melbourne and Sydney are where it's at. Speaking with no bias, Melbourne has more to do during the day, we're the cultural powerhouse of the country.

Day game is also a lot easier down here, guys into game from here will tell you that Melbourne girls are unusually receptive to day game, especially direct. Nightlife in Melbourne definitely above average compared to other English speaking cities but Sydney's is better, Sydney also has better beaches (although every Aussie agrees Bondi is overrated Manly, Bronte and Cooge are much better), so it's up to you what you like more.

If you come down here PM. Even if you go to Sydney I can provide you with some wings who have more in depth knowledge on the place, but if I were you I'd spend a month in each.

I'm no expert, but for beach game the most important thing is a combination of your regular verbal alpha game, and a decent body. You can't be fat, not even close. Age shouldn't matter to a certain extent if you have a fit good, average-reasonable face and solid game.

The best bet for gaming beach girls is shopping centers, cafe's and boardwalks near the beach. Since you're clothed it's just like normal day game. I HIGHLY recommend any shopping center near the beach areas like Bondi Junction and Royal Randwick for day game. You get a ton of hot, young and tan girls in very skimpy clothing (often with bikini's on underneath) during the warmer months. A lot of them may be planning on heading to the beach later or coming back.

Sweden in January? Minus 20 centigrade is not uncommon. Unless you're pioneering blizzard game I wouldn't recommend it. Heck! I live here and I leave for 2-3 weeks of vacation in Asia every year during Jan!

Where is Asia do you go too. How is Malaysia?
I was thinking perhaps a black guy in Sweden might do well even in the winter time, but I just don't want to get bored. That is what I am just worried about!

So it looks like Aussie it might be. Ticket is roughly around 1500 pounds from the UK ouch!!.

I am a 5ft 6in tall very good looking ( I think) 30 year black guy. I use to go to the gym quite a lot in my mid twenties, but now just more important things to do. Perhaps a little pump up for 3 weeks can get me back in shape again.

Ya I think i might do well on the beach. I guess I am one of those that really don't have any pick up line. I just go with the flow.

To be sincere I just want a spot I can chill, relax, go site seeing, meet new people, enjoy, get the occasional woman that fall on my laps [Image: banana.gif], see different cultures, fall in love with a stranger, get insipred... I can't party it hard like 2 years ago, so no clubbing everyday. I just wanna do something different before I come back the the States.

Definitely come down to Australia.

Melbourne and Sydney are awesome in summer. Tons of great beaches, clubs, bars, Cafes etc..... Friendly folks and great looking women.

Save Europe for their summer - winter is absolutely freezing there!

Unless you go to the Ski resorts in northern Sweden (which are ultra-pricey and riddled with insufferable nouveau-riche) the cities are pretty dead in the winter. I went out to a major club a typical saturday last year on The Kunsportavenyn in Gothenburg which is the 2nd largest nightclub/party street in Swe. At midnight there was a dozen people in the entire club... So it doesn't matter how well you do, there's just so little to work with this time of the year here.

Malaysia I went to last year in november, I loved Kuala lumpur and the lithe malaysian chicks. Would love to return there, but being Asia I'm not sure how well a black guy would be received. The few I saw was a couple of American B-baller types that were staying at the same hotel as us. At the skybar they got the "are you guys lost" reception from the staff despite that they were staying on the executive floor.

I'm going to go against the consensus here and say the best time to go to Europe is in the winter. As you can see from most of the replies on here most people aren't willing to go to Europe in the winter, which means no bumbling tourists. So nice hotels are cheaper, it's much easier to get into to clubs and people seem more curious on why you are there. I still remember being in Prague in December, about 4 years ago and people kept saying how they don't meet very many American's (maybe they just forgot what they're city looks like in July). Same goes for my experiences in Russia and Iceland(to a lesser extent). Sure it's cold as hell, but if people can tell if you're not from there they automatically want to know what you're doing there in the middle of their winter.

But if you are trying to meet Swedish girls I would go to the islands in Thailand. I spent about 4 days in Ko Phi Phi and about 35% of the island is Swedish. I met more Swedish people there than when I was in Stockholm.

I can confirm that BTman is telling the truth with regard to koh phi phi. Easiest place in the world to recruit Swedish talent. Granted you'll be interacting with typical middle class girls and not any national treasures.

Agreed! I'm seriously considering going back to Thailand soon for the umpteenth time. I much prefer the Swedish girls to the Thai girls in Thailand. If you want to spend some time chasing Swedish girls, then much better in Thailand than Sweden.

Phi Phi is great, there are direct flights to Phuket from Sweden, the girls go there to sunbathe and fuck predominantly.

Watch out though they are also teases, they will come back to your bungalow/hotel then play these childish games.

Yeah but in many countries if a girl comes back to your place then it's considered that sex is going to take place, but Swedes like to play silly games. I find many Swedish girls rather immature

It's not games, it's a different cultural climate so lets stay open minded here. I suspect you're raised in a culture where you close by going home to "listen to some music", "watch a movie" etc While in reality both you and here knew what it meant.

Pull the same move with a Swedish girl and she can mean just that - listen to some music or watch a movie. If sex is on the menu many times you can be quite frank about it without risking losing the close. So who's really playing games here?

Yo shoot some more data on Ko Phi Phi! Is December-January its high season? What other nationalities are there besides Swedish? Any word on prices?

I've been looking for a spot to stay in this time next year when I graduate and this shit sounds like heaven. I'm +1'ing all three of you for this golden find.

Getting There
We flew to Phuket from Bangkok. There are a ton of flights from BKK-HKT so you shouldn’t have to pay more than $150 r/t. I would skip Phuket completely. It is overrun with the worst kind of tourists, mostly loud, fat, drunk Brits/Americans/Australians looking for pros. I was there a few years earlier for a wedding and stayed 1 night in Patpong and was completely disgusted. There are some nice isolated honeymoon type spots on Phuket if you’re interested

Accommodation
Anyways on to Ko Phi Phi stayed at a place called Phi Phi Banyan Villa. Probably on the nicer side for Ko Phi Phi but I would avoid. They are very strict about bringing guests back to the hotel at night and have about 4 security guards checking names off of a guestlist. (Been meaning to write a posting on tripadvisor about this, but the Roosh forum trumps them every time [Image: smile.gif] Actually there are quite a few hotels owned by the same people so I would avoid the whole chain of them strictly for that reason. There are 1 or 2 luxury hotels as well but they are generally on their own private island so far away from the action, so I would avoid those too. I would call hotels up beforehand and specifically ask about the guest policy before booking a place.

Nightlife
The great thing about Ko Phi Phi is that there is only one real area with nightlife. I don’t remember what the area is called but it’s obvious once you get there. All the bars are on the beach and pretty much everyone hangs out there. It’s kind of a all night, the worlds about to end, dance party vibe. Being well dressed, smooth and talking a good game doesn’t work very well here. What worked best for us was drinking buckets of red bull vodka combined with adderall and proceed to go jump around like a monkey and take over the party. Goes against what I usually stand for but it seemed to work here when usual tactics failed.

Like I said earlier the island is filled with Swedes, generally on the younger side. Probably 19-23. They’re very friendly and will hangout/flirt with you all night but like Deb-A said they’re very hard to close. I had some success with this gorgeous Serbian girl while I was there, but she wouldn’t do much…girls and their morals these days. Other than Swedes, the second largest group would be Danes, followed by equal amounts of Australians, Canadians and Brits. Met very few Americans there… I didn’t see any pros on the islands so if you looking for that I would stay on Phuket. Also if you look over 30ish and/or out of shape I would maybe reconsider coming here. It’s a very young crowd and the older looking guys in my group were definitely at a disadvantage. The better looking/more in shape u were the better u will do.

One thing to be on the lookout for is when the full moon party is. If you’re looking for wall to wall people, partying their asses off check out Ko Pha Nan which is on the otherside of the peninsula. Ko Phi Phi loses a few people to that during full moon, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you are looking for. There is still a smaller full moon party on Ko Phi Phi and it is still pretty good. (I’m not a fan of huge crowds, so the party on Ko Pha Nan wasn’t something I was interested in going to) One of my friends did make the trip over and had a blast.

One last thing I think the vibe is very different in the summer time (can’t confirm this though) but I don’t think you’ll get the large amount of Scandavian tourists during their summer. They come obviously to escape the cold. I was there in March.

Other things
You can hire a fantail boat for really cheap (prolly less that $20) and they will take you around the island. Or you can hire a speedboat for about 4x as much and you’ll be able to see about 4x as much. Also watch the movie “The Beach” before you go. It was filmed in Ko Phi Phi and you can take a boat to the island where it was filmed. It’s a nice beach but they’re nicer beaches around.

Definitely check out this place called Papaya to eat. We ate there probably about 4 times. Easily the best food we had on the island. Prices are cheap. A full dinner with apps and drinks is probably like $10. Also if you’re in BKK you can get suited up relatively cheaply. If you’re interested I have the name of some tailors I used. I didn’t really like BKK much I thought it was kind of trashy, but the islands were awesome!
