Media = Brainwash

"TV is one of the most powerful brainwashing devices there is." - Dr. Mercola

As I've come to understand the media has a big impact on our inner game, not only TV but also magazines and music.[Image: huh.gif]

We're buying shit we don't need (Commercials)
Putting girls on pedestals (Movies/music)
Depression (News / Movies/ News papers/ music)
Rage (Movies / Music)[Image: angry.gif]

I think that's why people wake up moody [Image: angry.gif].

No TV = [Image: banana.gif]

What do you think?

I can't really figure out exactly what you are trying to say with all the smiley faces and bananas jumping around, but yes, TV sucks.

Is media a product of our culture or is our culture the product of our media?

Most of my time in college was without TV, and I definitely didn't have the temper to sit around long enough to watch more than 2 minutes of anything. Now that I'm becoming an old man (25!), I find the act of sitting down and watching TV to be a great release, especially after a tough day. I come home, channel surf, tune out, and spend an hour just lost in unconsciousness. Also, TV serves as a great way to connect with friends, especially when you watch funny shows together, like 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm, or Da Ali G Show. Although I still don't watch TV like most people, I think it has its uses.

As long as you stay away from the news, ads (tivo), aka 99% of the content, it's not all that bad [Image: wink.gif]

Our culture is defiantly a product of our media!!

What I'm actually trying to say is our media is determining our behavior, lifestyle and how we think in general.

This article might explain it better:

The TV ads are the best part of TV.

They tell you who is spending money.

If you read between the lines, the ads give you more information than anything else on TV.

Presently, Media has an easy time of propagandizing the slug-like products of 3 generations of Public School educated cannon-fodder.

Get used to it. It will get far worse before it improves.

I avoid all news "shows" then cheerfully use TIVO. Exclusively.
